Catoosa County Library — Attraction in Fort Oglethorpe

We were sent a final book return notice on a book we never checked out. when I called to explain the the lady who answered said my card showed it checked and when she checked in the library it wasn't there. So she spoke with the director and he recommended I just look for the book, but was too busy to speak with me. So I asked what would you do if you were in my shoes she said speak with the director because there is n o way there system or someone could have made the mistake of putting it on our account. So that makes it where my children can't use the public library what a shame of a county we live in when a silly book can put a damper on children's reading. All over an error, I refuse to pay for something that was never checked if my kids had lost the book or actually checked it out I would pay for it. The library was my sanctuary to escape noise. It was at one time the only place I could relax, read, do school work, write reports and to follow up on business matters. I went to Starbucks to do the same and it is very noisy as well as other establishments. Has the Library become a place to speak or yell at the top of your lungs.
