Little River Falls Observation Deck — Attraction in Fort Payne

The overlook has a great view for sure, with easy access from the parking lot (like a 30 sec walk). Though the real fun starts when you leave the deck and start your descent down to the waterfall. Its a bit of a walk, you have to scale down about a 10 ft drop. I did with the kid and the dog, but you got to a bit of dexterity. Then it was a 10min walk over old riverbed rocks, but then you're at the waterfall. Its a fun place to swim and you can get pretty close to the falls. There seems to be fun spots all up and down this river. We will definitely come back and explore more...

This is one of my favorite places to visit. It is beautiful and so peaceful. I have never been disappointed. You can get to the water by taking a small path that leads from the parking lot if you want to cool off. You cannot get there from the observation deck as that would have people too close to the falls and the rocks are slippery. Been coming for years and...

This is an impressive waterfall. The characteristics of the falls does change with the weather. This trip was just after a couple days of rain. The observation deck is easily accessible via either stairs or a ramp. The parking area is spacious, but the exits have speed bumps with spikes that are intimidating.
