Please be cautious when going to Little River Falls! There has been an extremely high number of deaths here. There's been two just within the week I am posting this. The currents are deadly even for strong swimmers and especially after it has rained. We are currently working on getting signs put up warning visitors of the high risks, and writing a letter to the park and local paper. For now this is the quickest way to send a message to potential visitors. There are many other dangerous cliffs with no railing, and rocks to walk on near the top of the waterfall where the current can easily push you over the edge. Read moreLittle River Falls is a very nice place to visit. Have been stopping there for years when I traveling to and from Georgia and Alabama. Nice stretch for the legs, and beautiful scenery. By going down to the top of the falls, you can get your feet wet and refreshed. Or a swim or a wade depending on water level is a treat. I have never ventured to the bottom of the falls but it looks like a wonderful big swimming hole. Many do and I was lucky enough one Sunday to have caught people kayaking off the falls. Definitely reccomend it for a quick stop or an afternoon...
