Oakland Lake Park — Attraction in Fort Worth

This park is pretty good. Its not always the cleanest but its not like theres just overbearing junk everywhere, just the occasional broken soda bottle in the parking lot or trash in the picnic areas. Both playgrounds are swell. The walking paths are quite nice and let you see everything around the park, but theres almost always construction blocking the path in at least one spot. There was a bridge to cross the mouth of the large pond there but its been deemed unsafe to cross and now its completely blocked, which is a shame as it was one of the best things about the park. The pond sometimes has a fountain on in the middle and theres always ducks and turtles to see. Theres also a baseball field, mini skate park, and a tennis net as well. Very good local park to go either alone or with family. I gave it 4 stars because it has mostly what a park has, playgrounds, ducks, and empty grassy land. But it has it's cons. There are only 2 playgrounds here. Which is a bit boring. The empty space in the park is used mostly for easter eggs or picnics, but year round it's bland. The skate park is a plus but obviously if you only know how to roller skate or skate (bikes and scooters aren't allowed).
