When I pulled up I thought they were closed as it’s dark from the outside . Beautiful place, when I walked in there was no one to greet me.There was a young man sitting at the bar(no bartender present either ). I asked if he worked there he said no but pointed toward the back of the place & I think he said she’s in the back . I drove to this place all the way from 287 & Little Road(South Arlington ) in an a SUV that requires premium gas. Finally some girl comes out and I had a menu that I got from the counter @ the front desk. I’m standing at a table as I was headed toward the back of the place as she was coming out . I said I’ve never been here & I’ve driven a long way,she said let me get you another menu as she’s about to walk towards the infamous empty front counter the young man @ the bar hands her one over his head. Before I could even open up this menu she hits me with just so you know we will be closing I think she said in 30 minutes. She didn’t bother to greet me & ask questions she would’ve known I was going to get it to go . I don’t much I eat leftovers .. I tasted their fish before when a friend got me some from them it was very good . I tried calling before I came & my friend said nawl they ain’t gonna answer the phone to ask what time was closing time & if open I was going order based on the selection.Sure enough they didn’t answer so in my mind I’m getting extra excited I’m like either they’re super busy or they are closed only to walk in to emptiness. I can’t even say it was worth the drive as the interaction turned me off completely I didn’t want a thing & I was super hungry & waiting to get off of work to come check them out . This kinda reminds me of the Harolds Chicken that was in Cedar Hill that closed down great chicken terrible customer service . It’s always us I swear, to have a concierge / desk as soon as patrons enter but no greeter ? Bar with no bartender in such a nice looking place from what I could see is not good. An older woman came out that heard what the young lady said to me & said something to the young girl & informed me that it wasn’t too late to order.!For me it was again her telling me they were closing soon I said I’ll try again another time (No I won’t). Its crazy how we try to support & as usually it typically comes with shenanigans. Wasted gas ⛽️ only looks brighter because I sat outside directly in front while I wrote this. To not answer the phone & no one to acknowledge you what’s worse is when you enter the way it’s set up you’d think you have to wait there for assistance. Still on a quest to find a go to spot for my sons and I Oh well

After reading negative reviews, I still decided that I wanted to patronize this establishment and try to give it a chance and experience it for myself. Everyone has an off day, right? So maybe the reviews occurred on such today. So...,..... Placed my order online and gave them a half hour to get it prepared. Get to spot, only two customers inside. Order not ready, kitchen didn't even have it... they were not paying attention to orders placed online. Low and behold, they make excuses for my order not being ready. Who tells a customer, "they been a little slow today"? Slow why? There's no one there... I have to wait another 20 minutes before I get my food and when it comes out, the order is wrong. I had asked for extra sauce and for crawfish to be added to my order. It is ridiculous, they can't read a ticket and get the order correct. You never get a second chance to make a good impression and my first impression is that this establishment is ghetto, non-professional and unworthy of my business again. This is what I get for trying to support my people.....a frickin' disappointment every time. You would think for a turkey leg that cost $55, inclusive of pasta, three shrimp, a sausage link, crawfish and extra sauce, the owners of this establishment would understand that a customer is paying a pretty high price for good customer service. I'm very disappointed, very, very disappointed and will not patronize this establishment again.

Had high hopes for this place but was unfortunately disappointed. First off the ambiance is nice, plenty seating and dining space. Second, there was an immediate greeting upon entering.(great start). Now for the bar experience…we ordered take out of the Turkey keg with salmon, lobster, shrimp, sausage and crawfish ($55) …. While we waited we decided to order a rum and Coke and a glass of water. The bartender asked us to be patient with her as she is working alone, but proceeded to clean glasses instead of fulfilling our drink order(she told us to ask the waiter) but we were at the bar?! Smh anyways… the rum and Coke came AFTER our turkey leg and had melted down to water and my water never came. Now to the turkey leg… it tasted as if it had been sitting under a warmer. The salmon was raw and tasteless but had parsley sprinkled on top? The crawfish was like eating small pieces of gum. The lobster was like eating a rubber band with absolutely no seasoning. The “dirty rice” was instead a boudin sausage that was cut and spread under the leg. And the shrimp tasted as if it was under a warmer also. I visit “first time opening” establishments all over and try to give fair reviews but feel as if this place may have rushed into opening and should have taken a bit more time and purchased fresh product.

Okay, where do I start. First off the reviews saying the food is good are lies, these must be coming from friends/family. So I attended a party here and let me give a word of advice, running a successful restaurant is more than just having nice decor inside. This place WAS NOT crowded and it was a Friday Night. Huh... There ended up being about 20 people in the party who ordered food at different times. Now here's the kicker, the lady whose birthday it was ordered her food and really wanted Turkey but was told it would "take some time" so she ordered Salmon w/Dirty Rice instead. On the other table we ordered wings, fish, chicken & waffles, and a Mac Bowl (which was sent back IMMEDIATELY bc it had hair in it) After about an hour after ordering we finally got our food but at different times, the wings came out first. Now let me be fair, Table #1 in our party did order first (which is the table the bday lady was at). When the wings came out, they were DISGUSTING! Undercooked and Fatty and the fries were soaked in grease. SMH... I sent them back and could tell when they came back, they just threw them back in the grease ( even the Buffalo) OMG! NEVER AGAIN! So about 9ish, I notice the birthday lady had no food and her guest were starting to depart- it was getting late. I spoke to the waitstaff and as I was doing so, her food was coming out. She just asked that it be boxed up- shouldn't had gotten to this point, but oh well. She ended up eating some and took the rest to-go. She was given a free desert for the issue and the manager on duty did rectify the situation with no issue. But here's the thing, she could've just gotten Turkey- she waited anyway. So to not be a Negative Nancy- let me gives some Pros to this establishment- Waitstaff is Super Attentive and Nice, Live Music is Nice, Decor is Nice. CONS- Food is Not Good At All and Overpriced, Drinks are Mediocre and Overpriced. If I'm Ever Invited to another party at this place, I will attend out of respect for that person but I know now to slide at that Lisa's right there FIRST (their drive-thru was packed) Dang I bet that chicken was fresh and good, or stopping at William's Chicken and bringing a drink with me to drink in the car. My son spent 26.00 w/fees and said he could have went to Chipotle. I heard one of the older party guest say, "They not ready" and she's right. The owners are not ready to run a successful black owned business that will keep people coming back, week after week. The person cooking has to be just that, a cook, definitely not a Chef back there because that food was not even Mediocre, it was...
