We hiked the Broken Arch Trail in the morning from our campsite. It is a loop trail that is about 2.5 miles long. Along the way we took a side trail to the Tapestry Arch as well, which is probably another quarter mile out and back. The Sand Dune Arch trail connects to it as well. It is a moderately difficult trail through the back country with a little bit of scrambling but very little if any elevation gain. We took our time and finished it in about an hour and a half enjoying the quiet, and some very scenic rock formations along the way. It was well worth the time. Be sure to carry plenty of water.

Awesome approx. 4 miles (6 kilometers) hike through the backcountry of Arches NP. You will explore some remote, quite and peaceful areas. What a contrast to the noise and extremely crowded places Arches NP has to offer. You can also start the hike at the Sand Dunes parking lot - what I did. Carry plenty of water you will need it!

A relatively easy hike over a sandy trail through grasslands from the sand dune arche parking area, this large walk-through arche requires a bit of rock scrambling. It is most certainly worth the hike and short climb. The rocks can be a bit slippery when wet, but very doable for those who want the adventure. Do it!
