The Skyline Arch Trail is a fairly easy, .4 mile out and back, trail with a little elevation gain and is accessible from a parking area. It takes about 5 minutes to get to the Arch however the arch is visible from the parking lot viewpoint. If you venture all the way to the arch there is a little bit of scrambling. When we there the traffic was light as Skyline Arch is not one of the more popular arches, but well worth the stop as it is a wonderful rock formation in its own right and the surrounding area is beautiful.

Most trail heads in Arches NP can be compact (15-60 minutes). Good views. Cool arch. This is a Mild / moderate hike that most older folks with solid mobility can do (ie our 80 year old pops who walks daily). I think it for the three of us l, we spent 15-20 minutes one way and 15 minutes hanging around 7pm with minimal tourists, and then back 15-20 minutes. So we spent less than an hour here. Note: April 2025: temp low 70s / high 60s on a Monday early evening. Parking was easy — so on a summer day it would be packed.

This trail is located are off Arches National Park Road and is an easy 0.4-mile out and back trail taking approximately 10 minutes. This is another popular trail since it is very short and easy, so you are likely to encounter other hikers while exploring. This trail will bring up close and personal with this stunning arch. The trailhead begins at the road and there are no dogs allowed. There is parking along both sides of the road, but there are only pullouts, so be cautious of on-coming vehicle traffic.
