The Major Box store with their Squad of Geeks, whom Iām now firmly convinced were just recruited from the part timers at various fast food outlets, were unable to accomplish after nearly two weeks of relentless frustration, which included five trips back and forth lugging their new computers (Yes, Brand New āLeading Edgeā as they said), and over $1,500; what they could not accomplish in those two weeks is what Michael, the owner of Click Computers accomplish with elegant and graceful ease in, well, let me add it up, I'd say 45 minutes. Because of all the previous frustration watching this all work seemed more like I was watching as the Red Sea parted and freedom from my computer hassles vanished into thin air. Michael is not just a computer tech or business owner, he is more accurately described a computer Genius. He is honest, gifted, works hard and above all - keeps his commitments. Why would I take the time to write about Michael and Click Computers with such high accolades when Iāve very few reviews in my entire life? Because, he resolved a problem that was causing me a degree of frustration so irritating that was beginning to spill over and into other aspects of my life and so I am so, so grateful. I didnāt even have a Google account and so I singed up just because I felt I had to share this review. Summary: After Best Buy failed to an indescribably and utterly mind boggling degree, in the haze and aftermath of that failure I hesitantly and slowly traveled to that place where I knew they truly "Love Me." I had stopped in previously while Best Buy was doing whatever they call what they do and they assured me they could build me great computer, customized specifically to meet my requirements. It was at that point that I discovered the secret as to why they loved their customers so much. It was when they said it will cost about $4,200. Then I understood and of course they would love me, but am I so desperate for love that I will give them $4,200. Dollars? I certainly hoped not. Yet, I was going there to do just that, not so much for love but so that I could get a computer and get my work demands back on track. But somewhere along the way I pulled over, look-up Click Computers and made the call. Michael answered and you know the rest of the story. Michael understood all my requirements and sent me an email detailing each aspect and the whole custom computer would cost $679.00 !!!!! How can he build and sell me a custom computer for that little, when the oneās who love me wanted $4,200? Donāt ask me, because frankly I donāt really understand. But I donāt understanding a lot of things, for example when physicists tell us that nothing can ever move faster than the speed of light which is 186,282 miles per second, that is approx seven and a half times around the circumference of the earth at the equator. Well, my mind has a hard time wrapping itself around that concept, doesnāt yours? Actually, Iām starting to question that part about nothing ever being able to move faster than the speed of light. I think maybe those trusted early pioneers of quantum physics might too if they witnessed how fast my Click...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOne day, I noticed my Chrome browser would link everything to ads and even my Steam application would have ads embedded inside. Things became frustrating, and at one point my screen started flashing, my desktop shortcuts disappeared, and my start menu became unaccessible. Flustered, I turned off my computer and called Click Computers - Misty answered and heard about my problem and said Michael would call me shortly. He did, he directed me to turn on my laptop (things were fine now...), to download a remote control application so he could take the reigns from his office (mind you, this was a Friday night after their posted work hours), and putting my trust in this team turned out to be the best decision I could have made. He walked me through his thought process as he inspected various parts of my software, asked me questions about what things were happening previously, downloaded some industry-best antivirus software (Malwarebytes among others...) and got all the way through until every potentially unwanted program (and yes! I had a trojan virus) was found, quarantined, and taken care of. He gave me great recommendations for practices to avoid (install UnChecky to make sure whenever you install new software you don't get unwanted recommendations for additional software) and even cleaned up and hid the displayed "hidden files" dirtying up my desktop after asking if I wanted them there at all! Wonderful service, wonderful team, problem solved, things learned... highly recommend! About 1/2 the price of another store I'd called earlier who said it'd take 1-2 business days to fix, and they got it all done in
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter work on a Friday, with many projects behind me, I sat down to my laptop ready to finally enjoy several hours of editing pictures. A reboot seemed necessary, but that lead to the dreaded blue screen, followed by attempts by Windows to repair the problem, then finally it seemed the only forward moves were to go to an version only a few days old (which didn't work) or to go back to factory setting and lose all my data. While I had backed up the most important documents and pictures, there were still 3 months of important new images that were no where else. That was what I intended to resolve this weekend. My heart hit the ground. I'd been very lucky up to that moment. There was only once when a serious computer crash occurred in my 21 years of owning computers, and when that happened, my IT buddy at work saved the day and refused to charge me. This time, though, I had no such person to turn to. So I was very nervous about seeking professional repair. I've heard horror stories.
Searching Salt Lake for care, I looked at many possibilities, and chose to contact Click Computers because of its years of experience, its professional and home-use customer base, and recognition.
I got Mike on the phone and found him very easy to work with. He arranged to get the laptop from me, though he wasn't working that day, then communicated with me very thoroughly as he started running diagnostics, explained clearly what would be needed and returned it to me, fully operating, with all my data intact, within 48 hours after he started the diagnostics, charging me only for labor, capped at 2 hours.
I would definitely recommend Click Computers, because I found it to be very reasonable priced, with excellent customer service, and, most important to me, my laptop came back to me with my data...
