The San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church in Taos, New Mexico, is a masterpiece of history, spirituality, and architecture. This iconic adobe structure, built in the 18th century, stands as a testament to the enduring faith and artistry of the local community. Its thick, earth-toned walls, sculpted by generations of artisans, exude a sense of timelessness and serenity. The church's simple yet powerful beauty has inspired countless artists, including Georgia O'Keeffe and Ansel Adams, who have captured its unique charm in their works.
Inside, the church is a peaceful haven, with dim light filtering through small windows, creating an atmosphere of reflection and reverence. The rich history of the church is palpable, from the worn wooden pews to the ancient altar, adorned with traditional religious artifacts. The annual re-mudding of the adobe walls, a communal effort, adds to the church’s living heritage, symbolizing the strong ties between the people and their faith.
Visiting San Francisco de Asis is not just a trip to see a historic site; it’s an experience that connects you with the deep spiritual roots and cultural richness of Taos. Whether you're drawn by its architectural significance, artistic inspiration, or spiritual peace, this church is a must-visit for anyone...

But the church is beautiful and as long as the word is God is witnessed and preached correctly then it don't matter where it sits or what surrounds it. Nothing can be more beautiful then his word. I think I will be attending this up coming Sunday...
