We arrived at 4:00 on Saturday, October 5. The tram hours are listed as 9-5. To their credit, they let us be the last group to go up. When we reached the top at 4:25, the guide said "The last tram is at 5. Be back here for 5, and we'll get you down."
By 4:35 (ten minutes later), another guide started rounding us up, saying "You might want to start getting back down. We have two trams left. If you don't get on one of them, you're hiking down."
Another visitor rightfully said, "But we just got up here."
Guide replied, "Hey, that's not my problem."
I was speechless! Did an employee really just say that? Unfortunately, yes, he did.
The solution is simple: either extend the hours or stop the runs earlier. But don't let us come up, tell us we have a certain amount of time, and then round us up after only a third of the time.
And certainly DON'T use scare tactics like "You're hiking down" and point-blank respond to a valid comment with "That's not my problem."
