Edit 4/27/22 I ended up getting reached out to by the receptionist and the barber that I had the appointment with, they were nice enough to make things right and really did put in the effort. I ended up rescheduling with Brenda and got great service and a great haircut, the experience will definitely have me reschedule with Brenda for my next cut. Edited from 2 stars to 4 but I would have given them 5 stars if the second experience was my first.
Made an appt through the app and it was immediately confirmed, the app suggested that you add a card for payment so I did but I should have known better when it asked for a tip ahead of time. The app clearly stated that if cancelations are less than an hour before the appointment the payment will still be processed. I do not have any issues with the policy but I do have issues with getting a flat tire on the way and there is no answer when you call the shop. I called 4-5 times with the same results, there is a message that says the mailbox is full and no way of contacting the person that I made the appt with through the app. After I changed my tire I continued to the shop to see if there was anyway that I could get a standby spot since they took payment and tip 45 min before my appt and hoping they would make an exception for a new customer but unfortunately I was turned away and told to come back the next day with a different barber because my barber had taken a walk in. Again I was fine with all of these things but they get 2 stars for the payment before my appt and the fact that the shop was full of employees when I arrived and not one of them answered the phone. I was not prepared to pay 85 dollars for a haircut at this place so I went elsewhere. I'm sure the cut would have been fine since my haircut is simple but my previous barber has the same app the same rules and is 100% more personable, the person I had made the appt with wasn't even the one that delivered the bad news I figured they could at least speak with me since I gave them $45...
Read moreTook my son here and got haircut for myself and my son. My son and father been here multiple times, first time for myself. Ozzy provided me probably the best haircut I've ever have had. The back with fading down is so smooth and transitions so well I'm quite impressed and happy. And first time in my life I've not needed to shower right after the haircut since not billion trimmings down my shirt. Place was busy but since they utilize appointments so well, they were not rushing clients. Somewhat looks like a place popped out of LA, but the pace and friendliness of a small town barber shop. I was also impressed that he remembered my son and my father (who was not with me) and their cuts from before. I will use them in the future. Been searching for years for a good place for male haircuts and happy have finally found a place. I may even have them trim my beard next time, which I've never let any place do...
Read moreEDIT We went with Sally this time because of all the good reviews and my son is DEVASTATED by the cut he got he's been growing his hair out for MONTHS and asked to clean up the sides and keep it long on top and his hair is GONE. He now has a high and tight instead of his messy curls with the sides cleaned up. He was too embarrassed to say anything when we were in the shop but once we left he lost it. I am BEYOND frustrated that we can't seem to find anyone who can cut boys long hair. Every time we leave with a high and tight. We've had iffy cuts here the last three times. I think we're done. We'll keep trying to find a place that is consistent and listens to what the customer wants.
2nd time I've taken my teen boys in and as usual they got amazing haircuts! They are always happy when they leave and ask for Creative Minds every time...
