Barb is an awesome host with a larger than life, unapologetic personality. She will take you through a journey of meads (honey wines) from different regions of Texas. She is very knowledgeable on, and passionate about, the meads and wines she offers and the atmosphere is fun and laid back. She has frozen wine-a-ritas flowing on those hot summer days, and there are plenty of board games to kick back and hang out for a while with your group. The best part: dogs are not only welcomed but encouraged (both indoors and outside)! If you want something different to break up all the wineries in the area, this is the place for you! Stop by for a quick tasting, or make a whole afternoon of it; either way, you're going to enjoy your visit and feel amazing for supporting a female owned and operated establishment. Absolute MUST TRY while you're in...
Read moreWe visited Six Shooters Cellars while visiting Texas and found it to be a really cool place. The "Old Tobacco Barn" interior is unexpected when you walk in but crates a great atmosphere. The wines were good - I'm told that Six Shooters has the widest selection of Texas wines, meads (wines made from honey), and ports in the area. All of these are hand picked by the Six Shooters management, and if they get poor feedback on any of their products, they discontinue selling it. The employees were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Six Shooters and we will definitely make it a point to visit them again (and take home some more great wines) when we...

The gal that was working/ serving us kept calling our husbands entitled white men and went off and some crazy leftist tangent the entire time we were there. She repeatedly insulted my friend for wearing a cross. All of this happened completely unprovoked! We did our best to not respond to her nasty comments and tried to change the subject multiple times but she was insistent on continuing her sexist anti religious rant. We left without finishing our drinks because she was so terribly...
