My wife and I had our wedding ceremony at Baughman Center in March. The location is one of the most gorgeous places to get married in Gainesville. The Baughman has a ton of tall windows that bring in a ton of natural light and surround you with beautiful cypress trees that line up along Lake Alice. It is a very affordable space to get married in, but it is such a beautiful and intimate space. Stephanie and her team were great to work with! I would certainly recommend this as a venue to host your wedding ceremony in.

Beautiful building. Needs some attention to remain this way. The outside is impressive and the lake views are spectacular! The pond could use a serious clean up and more Koi would help with this. The other landscaping with rocks, ivy, flowers around the oaks is very well done. There are outhouses in the parking lot for quick use. An event was being set up inside so we only peeked quickly. It's nice inside, nicer outside viewing the building though to me. Excellent for a quiet walk, sidewalks and plenty of shade.

As the owner & lead Wedding Planner of MasterPiece Weddings, I highly recommend the Baughman Center for your ceremonies. It is always a joy when our couples get married there! It's so architecturally beautiful that it requires very little decor, if any. The views of beautiful Lake Alice and surrounding gardens pour in through the windows and become the perfect setting for your photos. The staff is consistently responsive and very helpful and professional. I highly recommend the Baughman Center to my couples!

I had my wedding ceremony here in January. My overall experience working with Baughman staff and using their venue was very pleasant, and I am glad that I used their venue for my special day.

The chapel itself is gorgeous, and makes for great interior and exterior photos. The ramp to get to the altar area is a bit odd (it wraps around from one side to the other), but this also offers some interesting photo opportunities.

The chapel has its own piano in the back that resonates beautifully. The Baughman staff provided a list of preferred musicians that was very helpful for planning.

I will note that the Baughman relies mostly on its natural acoustics to project sound throughout the chapel. Guests have no trouble hearing everything from the altar, but bridal party members within the altar space (especially if they are situated behind the couple) may have some difficulty hearing the officiant/bride/groom if they...

We got married here in late May. It was a very affordable venue and the perfect size for us (about 60 guests). Stephanie was a great communicator and the venue was easily accessible for us and our coordinator, so planning was a breeze. The venue inside is very simple, yet serene and stunning - the incredible views over Lake Alice are the star of the show. There are some rules regarding bringing flowers and foliage in, to protect the wood surfaces, which is understandable. Yet we were able to include fresh flowers; our local vendors were very familiar with the venue so we had no issues. We had a live musician as well. There is an annex a few feet away which was made available to us for changing, bathrooms, etc. All in all, we would not change a thing and it was a privilege to get married in this incredibly...

If I could give this building and the staff a higher rating I would. My husband and I got married here last year and it was beyond lovely. The building is beyond gorgeous, and although we had décor, the building is a sight on its own. Paired with a lake (with wildlife, of course) that can be seen through the plethora of windows, this building doesn't disappoint. Shout-out to the architect because they knew what they were doing. The staff was MORE THAN accommodating during rehearsal and our ceremony. We are both alumni, so having our wedding here was perfect and sentimental. Thank you for such natural beauty that topped off the most important day...
