We saw the Shen Yun for the first time. Beautiful presentation especially the interactive background. The timing precision was awesome. Dancers and outfits were colorful. My granddaughter was very delight with the performance and beauty of the show. Our favorite was the sea of billowing clouds because we were in the second row nice 3d effect. Only draw back was the protestors at the door of the event. It was scary for my granddaughter to pass a line of young men screaming communist comments. Go Gators

Unsafe venue!!! Ripe for a mass casualty incident. Literally zero security. I wouldn't bring my family here again. I am a concealed weapons permit holder, but was not carrying a weapon because it is unlawful to do so on campus property. This is how gun free zones become shooting galleries. I am a law-abiding citizen and chose to follow the law. There was not a single security measure in place to stop someone from bringing a firearm into the venue. I was so distraught by the lack of security that I reached out to the director of operations of the venue to ask if there were measures in place that I was unaware of. He said no, but that they would be testing new screening technology at the end of March / beginning of April for possible purchase and implementation at the venue. Until then, I guess you are on your own. In this era, it seems exceptionally careless. They don't even list any policy on their website regarding items not allowed for entry such as knives and such. I asked the director if I missed that part of the website and he just directed me to the main page.. that does not contain that information. It seems trivial to add this part of the review, but the sound wasn't that great and there was only one line to get drinks of any kind.

I am incredibly grateful to be living here in small Gainesville and able to have cultural experiences that a big city has to offer. Thanks to the Phillips Center for Performing Arts and their generous patrons who enable this to happen. Last night, the soulful sounds of Lady Smith Black Mambazo's unique acapella sounds were as beautiful as they were meaningful. An auditory experience and cultural experience that shed light on the road to freedom for South Africa 🇿🇦.

Superb halls, the sound engineering is on point. You can hear the instruments clearly at least on the lower floor without any microphones. No artifacts when listening such as echoes or too much reverb. Very well designed, easy to exit and enter. Top notch in almost every way. The artists who perform are also great, especially if you enjoy classical and instrumental music, theatre or dance performances.

Went with family to see Book of Mormon here. Love the venue. We were up high in the E section box seats though and do not recommend this section for shows with dialogue as the music overpowers the vocals. I found it difficult to understand the words when the music was playing. I’m not going to discount the fact that my hearing may be going but my group of four also had trouble making out the words.

Wonderful time at My Fair Lady. Preperformance discussion was very interesting and gave background on the show and performance was well done. Even though our seats were in the balcony could see everything going on and unobstructed. They do need more restrooms for intermission as the lineups were long! Overall had a great experience and looking forward to seeing more shows in the future.
