Stopped in here tonight because my husband was curious about the distillery. We did a little shopping in the gift ship and picked up a barrel shaped glass, and a retro style trucker hat.

We sat at the bar and checked out an expansive menu of cocktails with fun names and creative ingredients. My husband ordered a barrel aged old fashioned, smoked. Emily did this impressive display of smoking the old fashioned using what looked like a cloche with a tube attached to it. At the end of the tube she placed oak shavings which she lit with a match.

I don't drink, so I ordered a Shirley temple. They make their Shirley temples using luxardo cherries (which they coincidentally sell in the gift shop) and they're the best cherries I've eaten in my life. I'm going to end up buying a jar in the gift shop for $22. Yes, they're worth it!

All around great environment with a clear view of the distillery. There were oversized couches and chairs, a Super Nintendo with games to play, golden tee, and a big TV. Plus good music. There was a mix of some people with kids, older couples, and then us in our early 40s. Mellow space. Kasey and Emily were very nice, and rounded out an already great evening for my first time in Galena.
