Some of these reviews hurt me, as well as make me angry. I have been a vendor here for a long time. The man they refer to as the rude, bald man/owner has a heart of gold. Yes, some people think they can come in and steal and maybe are used to getting away with it. If you read these negative reviews please know that there are cameras throughout the store. This worker does not care what race you are! If he sees you stealing he'll call you out on it. Consider yourself lucky that he doesn't just call the police and he gives you the opportunity to leave the merchandise and leave the store. PLEASE STOP SHOUTING RACISM WHEN YOU ARE CAUGHT! OWN IT! One day I was loading my booth with new merchandise and there was one customer in the store who was at the counter, looking at rings. The display was full, with no missing holes where the rings were inserted. The "customer" keeps trying them on as the worker comes and goes from the counter. Upon one of his returns to the counter there are missing rings. She goes to leave and he asked if there were rings she wanted to purchase? She said no, none of them fit. He asked her again and mentioned there were cameras, giving her another opportunity to do the right thing. She started screaming racism for all the store to hear, although there was just me at the time. It was obvious she had taken the missing rings, which was supported by the surveillance video. She was mad because she was caught, so claiming racism was her only defense. As a black woman, this infuriates me! Don't you understand this just makes racism worse?
There are various ethnicities who are vendors and regulars in the store and he is respectful and kind to all of us and we love him. People are always coming in on the days that he is there to see him. I witness it all the time when loading or checking on my booth! He is always pleasant and helpful to those that are honest customers.
I thank him for NOT allowing people to steal from my booth, and the other vendors appreciate it as well! Please don't believe what you read in these reviews. And if you are someone who would consider stealing, please know that you're not stealing from the store owner or a big company. You are stealing from an individual vendor who's trying to make ends meet...
Read moreBeen a customer here for many years and loved this place. The bold guy with glasses at front desk who been working here the last few times we visited was very rude and disrespectful especially against middle eastern arabs. He talks to you rudely asif you are beneath him and makes accusations without proof even when you are talking in a respectful way. Regardless of your reasons and even if you are right you should treat people with respect especially in the manner you speak with others and especially when the customer was speaking with respect and calm way. He indicated that he has been watching us the whole time after he accused my child a 2 year old of drooling over a USED toy and made us buy it which we agreed to just because she did throw it on the floor even though my child never drools on stuff and we were watching her because we dont want used dirty items in her mouth and to prove his discrimination he even called my daughter a he and she is a girl. He speaks with non arabs with alot of respect. This is not the first time he speaks with us in that matter even during my last visit when I asked him a question he replied in a rude disgusted way. We didnt want to make a fuss over $3 item because i can easily buy her new stuff and return it even after opening but we like to support small business and antique stores. Any how, we and everyone I know will not be stepping foot here ever again. I used to promote this place to friends and family but not anymore i will advise them against visiting this place because of the horrible experiance he...
Read moreFelt racially profiled. Was browsing around saw older IPods and a few video games hanging from a rod. Checked out the video games and slid the iPods to the back. After about 10 minutes a man approached a friend and I saying “ did you guys take the IPADS up front?” We were confused and said no we didn’t see IPads. After a minute I assumed he meant the iPods I was looking at prior. I asked if he meant iPods, showed him they were pushed to the back and he stated “ oh good I thought I almost had to shut down the store and call the police” I let my friend do more shopping and decided to check out. I apologized for accidentally moving the iPods earlier and he said “ it’s alright, I saw you over there and figured I’d come to you” after finishing my transaction I told my friend ill just wait for him outside. I’m hoping this was a huge misunderstanding but it felt very uncomfortable in this establishment the whole time. It’s a shame because there are a lot of fun interesting finds but I will not...
