White Deer Park Nature Center — Attraction in Garner

As a person who loves parks, this is a perfect place. When I was just a mere toddler, my mom would take me to this park and I always enjoyed my time there even up until now. Once you arrive, there is an option to go either left or right. If you go left, you will go to the well what I would say the more nature orientated place. If you go right, you will find a park with a nice playground and a place where many people hold birthday parties. I hiked around and I found a small stream/creak type place. If you go to the right side of the park, walk down the trail and go into the forest when you see a trail leading to it, keep going and where there is two more paths, go to the left a little bit and look at the woods and you will see a hidden path with no concrete path nearby. Cool place and it's my favorite hidden gem about this park. This is a park I think...

The two diverse sides of the park I think are what make it so great. The Nature side where the playground is like playing in the forest with a tree fort and the other side (not sure what is referred to as). With the climbing spiderwebs and the cool modern merry go round. My kids seem to like the nature side the best. It is a must for them To go see poppy the snake every visit. Both kids have had birthdays out there in the Nature center and in one of the shelters.

The greenway is a nice quick walk and if you pay attention to the edge of the woods, you will see hiking trails. They are not used much so be prepared to walk through spider webs.

Trails not makes well nor cleared well a great place to trip and fall ! Everyone seems to have a dog and no one cleans up i kicked away several "bombs" Kids sitting on top of the swing sets looking for a reason to fall and try to sue the park. Apparently the town is to cheap to hire people to keep things in line and the girl working at the desk in the nature center couldn't less and was to busy doing homework to promptly answer any questions and produce the very poorly put together pamphlet of the park. To bad a nice park but run by educated lazy people,not well maintained and staffed by very poor lazy people....at least it was...
