Great trail - amazing wildlife if you’ve got patience and open eyes. Trail is pup-friendly but all dogs must be leashed !
Many different loops/lengths and easy to read maps at checkpoints along the way.
Four stars because - honestly, the bugs are insane. I’ve gone covered in DEET, in essential oils, in natural/organic bug deterrent - and all three at once - there are just some portions of the trail where mosquitos and biting flies are incessant (and seemingly invincible).
And also because the toilet has been in horrid condition any time I’ve been. Suggest going ahead of time or taking a lovely piddle in the trees.

Read moreI always love going through the Marl Lake Trails. It's a surprisingly large set of trails. They're all pretty simple it's just a longer walk. There's multiple loops you can go through to be in the trails for a certain time. There's basically a small loop a medium loop and a long loop. I went through the medium loop so it took me about 2 hours, but I also was with my girlfriend and we spent a lot of the time talking and enjoying the scenery. This is always the place we'll go to if we wanna just go for a walk...
Read moreMono Lake is one of the few on touch places that you can find anymore. The fact that they do not allow any motorized boats of any kind on this lake has left it in its pristine condition. Although it is very Monkey on the bottom you wouldn't know that by looking at it unless you happen to disturb the bottom.
