Gloucester Cinema — Attraction in Gloucester

In the past 20 years I've driven by the place and finally few years ago I finally - "why not go in" they had some pretty cool movies, so I just had to stop in. I had the time I went in and I loved it nice old school small place its not a humongous thing with grand balconies and stuff it was just nice and cozy and it was simply awesome. Both the Causeway Restaurant big portions and bring your own beer wine spirits next door and the Cape Ann Marina across the road with the outdoor upstairs seabreeze deck restaurant with the famous Wicked Tuna TV series men, owner/captain boats right there. Yes you can drive your boat right up and you can park at the 'guest slips'. Umbrella tables up top on balcony with their "Seacuetery board " appetizer was absolutely...

It's a nice little theater just on the outskirts of town. The fare shown is mostly your AAA studio films: your Star Wars, your Indiana Jones, etc.

The ticket prices are good, as are snack prices. One can go here without feeling like they have to break the bank, which is a rarity in the moviegoers' world nowadays.

The theaters themselves are small, intimate: the screen is in perfect proportion to the theater, and the the sound system is good. It never feels like you're at a drive thru, for example.

The only weakness I can think of would be that, because they only have 3 screens, they're limited in the amount of films they can show at any one time.

Came here with my daughter and wife to watch inside out, we were going to wait for the 9:00 showing and in the meantime I was walking towards the restroom and the guy at the ticket booth said to me in a rude way (were ya going) I told him I was going to use the restroom and he said very rudely restrooms are for customers only, i turned away with my wife and daughter and said well you don't have a customer now and he said I don't care. Guy was a complete jerk. I would never come here if it were the only movie theater on the planet! And advise other to stay away from this place as we just don't need to deal with...
