I visited this place on the weekend, It looks like a nice archeological site where we can see a lot of fossils related to dinosaur age. Easily accessible from the parking and they do have shuttles running between the entrance and the site. The key thing in this place is a lot of sitting space where you can enjoy it with your family. Kids love this place, since dinosaurs and stuff will appreciate their imagination. It's a free park, no booking or tickets to be purchased. So easily accessible to everyone who wants to visit. For trekkers the Dakota trail is the best option , they can do some trails and get warmed up in summer.
Could see a lot of bikers here in the place. They have dedicated roads and paths in trails with extreme difficulty levels. But without proper training I won't recommend doing this in the Dakota trail, because it's extremely dangerous (it's so deep if you miss a single turn)
A single place where you can see a lot of different fossils like raptor, crocodile type dinosaur, big herbivore dinosaur and Jurassic footprints along with pre...
Read morePerfect place for little paleontologists. Easy hike with different fossilized tracks along the way. Towards, the end there’s a small site with bones. My dinosaur aficionado loved it, so if you have kids that love dinosaurs this is a must. If you have tiny humans, there is also a bus tour for about $20, they stop at all the main stops along the way and explain what each site is. There is also another trail that requires hiking called the “Triceratops Trail”, we didn’t get the chance to do that trail, but plan to do in the future.
Parking is along the road at the entrance of the trail, you need to parallel park, and it is limited. We visited on a weekday, so it wasn’t bad; I imagine on the weekends parking would...
Read moreCame out here on a trip during a really rough time in my life. Drove out from Denver near the DTC area on my own and thought I’d check this out since this probably the closest I’d ever come to seeing footprints left behind by some cool dinosaurs in a natural setting.
I previously visited the natural History Museum in Morrison, CO and came here shortly after. It allowed me to reflect on things and come to the realization that the past is meant to learn from and continue on with growth and knowledge. I’d recommended visiting this place and absorbing all the sights and sounds with as little...
