Winter Wonderland (Almost!) at Mount Rainier I recently joined an Olympia Parks and Rec snowshoeing trip to Mount Rainier, and while we weren't able to get all the way into the park due to chain requirements (our bus couldn't accommodate them), the experience was still breathtaking. Even from the entrance, the beauty of Mount Rainier in the winter is absolutely exceptional. The snow-covered landscape was a true winter wonderland, and the sheer majesty of the mountain was amplified by the pristine snow. It was a reminder of why this national park is so special. We ended up having to turn around due to not having any ability to visit a restroom or any available food. Please be realistic when communicating wait times, this strongly effects people's ability to enjoy our resources. We even checked the Parks AM communications channel and were met with nothing but the...

While the natural beauty was still impressive, weather conditions made it less enjoyable this time. Best to check conditions before going, but it remains a majestic destination worth visiting on a...
