This is by far the worst motel I have ever been too. The moment we walked into the room it was hot with no proper way to cool it down. We got a tiny useless fan and bugs where everywhere we booked 3 nights but can barely handle 2 and check out early with no refund offered by the owner. If I can give it zero stars I would, I read all the reviews before booking and I wished I had listen.
The first night we realized just how bad things where, everything in the room was badly held together, the table had a macaroni box to level it, the hot water knob in the shower was broken, everything was plugged into 2 outlets. The TV volume button was broken and stuck on one volume. The barely functional wifi was in the middle of the driveway with all the incorrect passwords on the wall, the bed had hair on the sheets. Everything was extreamly dirty and the toilet took about 3 flushed to work. That was just what I experience the first hour.
Trying to see the positive I pushed through, the windows where broken and there was no screen so even if I could open it bugs can get in. Speaking of bugs the ceiling was crawling with spiders and the bed had something itchy, does not smell clean. I was bitten by mosquitos all night and had to wear off spray just to sleep. My wife and I barely rested due to the conditions of the room. We where lucky to have our sleeping bags and pillow casing
The second night got worst. We arrived back and had to go outside due to the extream heat. We talked to other guest they said they had similar experience but worst, THE ROOM SWITCHS ARE REAL. After experience everything like i did in the first night my wife and I got very itchy, trying to sleep it off was hard, I stayed up and tried to watch TV, i saw a mice run out of a hole and crawl into another hole, I freaked out. We packed all of our food in the car and barely slept. When the sun came up we went straight to check out at 9am
I talked to the guest while waiting for the office to open and told them my experience, I felt like the owner hear me cause he opened the door 10 minutes early and let me in, he then said we don't open for another 10 mins witch got me mad. Why open the door to let me in if you are just going to say that. The owner brushed off everything I said and said there is nothing I can do but talk to my booking company. He tried to get me to shut up about the rodent problem. But I spoke the truth to him.
I am writing this because I work a honest job, I saved my money through the pandemic for a vacation, I have not taken time off in 2 years to do something and I spend my hard earned money oh this "cottage" and got this experience, I am now covered in bites from the room and was charged hotel prices for a roch motel experience. I will fight this with my booking company. Please read the other reviews if you don't believe mine. I wish I listen to...
Read moreWe were excited to book one of the newer Premium Cottages as a part of our June 2022 family road trip, however that all changed once we arrived.
On the day of our arrival it was raining with a very low cloud deck so we just planned on relaxing in the cottage instead of going into Mt. Rainier NP for the afternoon. When we checked in we were told to take a picture of the multiple wifi usernames/passwords. Once we got to the cottage, we found it cute, but that cuteness was short lived. Once inside the cottage we found that there was no wifi at all. Their website also stated that the cottage had satellite TV, there was a satellite remote, but there was no actual service. There was a DVD player, with only two DVD's with titles that we have never of. The cottage was also fairly dirty. The ceiling fan blades were covered with dust and the floors were very dusty.
We went back to the office to ask about the wifi and satellite. We were told that the poor wifi was beacause of the rain. If you stood in the office lobby there was a very weak wifi signal. When I asked about the satellite TV, I was told that they have not had satellite TV for 2-3 years. These new cottages are only 3 years old!!!
After some discussion with the staff in the office and the owner, we were given a 50% refund and they brought us a couple of kids DVD's. At first we were told by the owner, who speaks broken English at best, that we would be given a 50% refund and we could go stay somewhere else. He also told us that they have never had complaints, which by reading this and other reviews, is clearly not true!!!
We had to make a third trip to the office to get more towels. There was one set of towels for a family of four.
My wife took a shower that night and there was hardly any hot water. My oldest daughter also took a shower later that night and there was no hot water. When I took a shower the next morning, I had about one minute of warm water before it turned completely cold.
And the worst part of our stay happened when we decided to go to bed and found that the bed sheets were full of hair and dirty. So apparently the housekeeping staff does not know how to do their job at all!! We were forced to sleep on top of the bedding because the office closes at 6pm!
As I write this review, a month after our visit, their website still shows that the cottages have satellite TV. We were told that they were going to update the website to remove the satellite TV listing. It is very clear that they don't care about false advertising, clean spaces or the guests comfort (lack of hot water).

Read moreI am not one to write reviews, even if I don't have the best experience but I feel like this one dealt with a SAFTEY issue and needed to be put out there for others to hear. I stayed here with a friend recently, we are two females in our mid 20's (this will be relevant later). I understood what I thought I was booking initially - a rustic cabin with a great location close to Rainier. For 250 dollars though I did have some expectations regarding the cleanliness and upkeep of the room. The cabin we booked felt very dingy and dirty - you could tell the comforters were old and dusty, there were tissues stuffed into the holes in the cabin walls (for what, we are still unsure), and there were lots of flys buzzing about that somehow got in even with the screens seemingly intact on the windows. This was in fact NOT the worst part. We left the cabin to go for a hike around 5:30 pm to find ourselves locked out of our cabin. The key we were given did not unlock the cabin so we went to reception. They could not find the spare key. They proceeded to get the maintenance man to essentially break into the cabin with a hammer and said the cabin had no working key - they thought someone had taken it or the cleaning crew had it. The manager tried convincing us to stay in the cabin claiming "I will keep watch over your things and the cabin for you." Mind you we are again two females traveling alone. After stating that was not okay, we asked if there were any other cabins available for the night. They said yes but it was going to be a lot more expensive as the cabin was bigger than the one we already booked - acting as if this issue was my problem - not theirs. After some convincing, we were able to move to the larger cabin for our current room rate. Again just like the other one, this cabin was very dingy and almost creepy - there was writing all over the walls and scary things carved into the cabin wood - it felt like we were in a horror movie. Needless to say, I will never ever ever stay here or recommend this...
