We had an unbelievable start at the casino, we arrived around 11:30 pm on a Saturday night. We wanted to get a players card, the front desk sent us to the cashier which was at the opposite end of the casino from where we entered, we made it there, waited in line to be told we needed to go to the front desk which we did, only to be told to go back to the cashier, if it were a prank that we could enjoy it might have been better, but then we went back to the cashier and she told us the same thing, that they can't issue cards there, we informed her twice they have sent us from the front to the cashier, she finally went and asked a supervisor who then after about 15-20 minutes came back with player cards. Now we are off to gamble and have fun. We sat at one of our favorite table games, 3 card poker. There were a total of five of us playing when we started playing. This table was so blatantly rigged it was amazing. Everyone at the table would have a winning hand and the dealer would always beat the table. If players had a flush, the dealer would have a straight flush, this happened a few times in a row, one of the kickers was three 7's were flopped on the board, four of the five of us had boats, table win right, no not this time, the dealer uncovered the fourth 7, so four of a kind, once again beating the table, then four times in a row the dealer had a full house, beating everyone's hands again, and two players had full houses but theirs were lower cards than the dealers. Everything is possible and random, but the odds can be looked up for the amount of time's the dealer would be dealt the winning hands that he got dealt, and it's astronomically high. To say the dealer was hot would be an understatement. I know the automatic shufflers can probably be programmed to deal hands to give the house the edge. I don't mind that this might be happening, but across the United States, while we are on vacation, we stop and enjoy most casino's we go to, we don't win most of the time but we enjoy the games and can usually play on $600. For more than ten minutes. Most of the time we can play for a couple hours, and sometimes 6-8 hours. I am not delusional that casino's are there to give away money, for my wife and I, entertainment is the key reason we go to casinos, that factor was sadly missing on the table games. $200. We spent in slot machines, and the same was true with those, many spins, and not even winning the amount bet back, so that money went fast. The only positive I can give is the casino was mostly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHello. I am writing this review in hopes that management will look into the problem areas and pay attention to the problems and suggestions that frequent visitors are facing when visiting your new hotel and your new casino. My husband and I, along with our friends, have played and stayed several times at your NEW Grand Island, NE Hotel and Casino as well as the old casino. That being said, at both locations, before and after the grand opening, all experiences, have not been good. We as well as our friends have not been approached by anyone at the hotel/casino to be given a Casino host or even approached with offers above and beyond those given and provided to regular/sporadic attendees to the establishment. There is, we are sad to say a language barrier by quite a few of the employees/departments of the hotel and casino. We have encountered these language problems on opening day through our last visit. The worst and most concerning being, i believe, at the front desk(hotel check-in) and the lobby restaurant. We asked basic questions at both locations, and the staff at each(in our presence) did not know and argued amongst themselves for the answers. The guest rooms are somewhat lacking also. Whether that being in furniture, supplies, and/or staff. We are hoping these problems as well as those not brought up in this review decrease in number. Your location is close to us, and we would like to continue visiting and playing at your location. We are hoping to witness a constant and radical improvemant each and every visit/stay. On a positive note, the cleaning staff at the casino and casino bathrooms are vigilant and pleasant. Thank you for listening and hopefully making changes to a better experience for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe place was freezing cold, beautiful but deathly cold. First this casino was almost impossible to find, it is within the fair grounds with gates closed or blocked. Upon arrival I got a players club card which I always do at casinos. The employee was as friendly as a cold fish, and there were no comps what so ever for first time getting players club card. The casino was very impressive but deathly cold, my bride go so cold I took her to the room and she refused to go back to casino floor. We got food from the "Cafe" and our waitress was very unfriendly and or never been a waitress before and our Loaded potato soup was not warm to melt the cheese in the cup or bowl. There was a gentleman who was seated and waited for close to 10 minutes to get a different waitress to come wait on him. We always tip very well and I left a 30% tip and felt that I should not have. We are seniors mid 70's and 80's and we travel a lot but due to health and age problems we are slowing down a lot. Upon departing hotel I unloaded all of what we experienced and then more I basically said I don't know where to start and said as much and asked for a copy of my room receipt and their printer did not work and I asked they email me my statement. The person on the hotel desk the night before seemed also confused or hated her job. They did email me my receipt. The room was really stunning and it will not stay a $139.00 a night room and plus $20.20 added taxes. When we left I said now I remember why we avoid Nebraska for everything and to get onto Interstate 29 and NE state HWY2 was also a nightmare. I could go on and on but unless 500 Nations Casino corporation's get a grip nothing will change. We travel a lot and post everywhere we stop on...
