I gave 2 stars because the guys that had to keep coming out were great. But as a whole i am disappointed. I baught a smart tv with the geek squad plan my tv has been screwing up. Granted i do watch most things streaming on hulu or netflix but also watch dvds from time to time. My tv turns on and off randomly noone touching the remote. It will turn all the way up or all the way down randomly sometimes after you have pushed volume up or down once and will not stop or turn down or up have to unplug. They have changed switches and boards inside and the issue continues. I received a text that said its a streaming issue and they would disavle the smart part of my tv and give me a fire stick. Which mind you i have already teied and had the same issues. Also I have asked and been ignored or shuffled on the phone being hung up on 4 different times trying to resolve this About if it were a streaming issue why id it doing it during a dvd playing i have video clips of it doing these things online and off. I am now being ignored completely and my tv is still doing the same things and has actually seemed to have gotten worse since the last time they were here. Not impressed at all at this time. I paid over 700 dollars for this tv and protection plan and now i just have to deal with it apparently . I have spoken to the manager of best buy and he said all he needs is geek squad to confirm they have been out 3 or more times for same issue which they have and he could take care of it apparently that is too hard to get done and i was asked by geek squad to do the leg work of calling all these different places to see if that was the issue i called internet provider i called hilu netflix the maker of the dvd player mind you no other tvs have this issue in the home but that gets brushed under the...
Read moreWe have a smart tv (less than a year old) that constantly drops internet signal, our router is new but I checked the internet signal with my other devices to make sure and there were no issues. It got to the point where I had to unplug the tv, wait 2 minutes, then plug it back in just to get it to connect. We took it in to Geek Squad for warranty work. Without even looking at it they tried to tell me it was our router (said it might be too old) I explained to them that the router was purchased the same time the tv was. Then they said it must be the internet connection, I again explained to them that the internet worked perfectly fine on our other devices while the tv was telling us there was no internet. They finally said they would have to ship it off for warranty work because they couldn't do it at the store. A week later we get a call saying it's ready to pickup, their diagnosis? Read moreWe are in our 60's and do not want the hassle of trying to figure out electronics. We finally made an appt thru best buy to have someone come out and tell us what we need for what we want. Josh came out (free of charge) and was such a tremendous help with our electronics. He gave us suggestions, gave us options. We told him what we wanted and he took care of everything. We didn't have to do a thing. He showed us what he had down for ordering, we agreed to it. He set up an appt for installation. So easy! Why we didn't do this a long time ago, I don't know. But I'm so glad we finally used the Geek Squad! We'll have a brand new sound system up in just a short amount of time. Yeaaahh!! it' Here it is 2023 on a hot Aug day. The geek squad came out first thing which was great. I like how we get continued texts and they call to let us know they are on there way.
