Chicken -N- The Bag — Restaurant in Grand Junction

First time going. Friendly staff, but food a little pricy. At first, I was a little disappointed about the cost for my meal. 4 tenders meal with a few drinks = $25.00 with a small tip included. But my impression changed once i opened the box. The tenders were HUGE! Huge, delicious and juicy with a nice crunchy outer layer. Got the jalapeño peach bbq sauce as the coating. Talk about DELICIOUS!!! And it actually wasn't too spicy. The only thing I didn't like was the mac and cheese. I wasn't expecting it to be sweet. I was hoping for a regular style cheesy mac and cheese, so the taste I received kind of threw off my taste buds and expectations. Sorry, but if it wasn't for the mac and cheese, this review would have been 5 starts. If you like sweet mac and cheese, then you will like this one. Definitely not for me, though. I have been semi-stalking this truck ever since I first saw it near the CMU campus. I was never able to try their food when they were there in the previous semester due to them moving around or a lack of cash but now I can say I 100% endorse going here. They are friendly, fast, and make delicious food. I ordered "The Slop" and was surprised by the small box, until I opened it and saw how much food they somehow fitted into it. The chicken was outta this world, the mac surprised me with some sweetness but I really liked it and the fries were pretty crispy (but were kinda soggy from being placed at the bottom of the box. this may have been because I walked home with the food before digging in). My wife and I each had the chicken tenders, she had the Mac n' cheese, I had the French fries. ALL OF IT was amazing. Please understand, I ate this a week ago and I'm still obsessing about it. The tenders were huge, perfectly cooked and juicy, with a unique seasoning in the breading. I could easily eat these without a dipping sauce. The fries were crisp and very hot, with a slightly tangy seasoning that became addictive. The Mac n' cheese was large noodle and the cheese sauce was creamy with a subtly sweet aftertaste. The customer service was extremely polite and the food was cooked fresh to order and ready in 15 minutes with a buzzer to alert us.
