This place is not bad as far as grounds being kept up I will give them that. However, if you are not a fan of helicopters or small air craft it might be a little much with the filght line directly next to your RV. The helicopter school opens at 7am and they started flying every day of my stay around 7:30 with touch and goes about every 10-15 minutes. The small aircraft start around 7:30-8 am and go all day till 8pm. So enjoy if your a novice but may not be your cup of tea if you are wanting to relax in peace.
Service... the manager us defiantly not a typical texan boasting hospitality. Our first morning I went to register because they cose at 6pm and there is no staff on site after that (security does patrol). I asked if we could move to the further side and was happy to pay the addition amount (much nicer side with shade) and was told was all reserved. I watched 6-8 slot stay empty from Monday to Thursday. When I stopped in later in the evening to see if any cancelations on the other side as the front desk lady was getting ready to check the manager came running out of her office and yelled “ I already told her No this morning”... wow I said thank you and shortened our stay.
Property... they keep it pretty clesn minus the dead bird that sat by the showers for 2 days. They seem to give most people large garbage cans in front of site with pick up twice a week. We came in Monday and no garbage can for us so Tuesday I asked about one and was told they usually put them on site Monday and Thursdays. I asked if I could get one and was told the dumpster is over there as she pointed to side of office. I asked if they are extra or for permante residents and was told no but the dumpster is just right there. I gave up since I got no where with that issue. Then about 4 days before we were due to arrive I emailed to confirm if pool was in service and was confirmed it was. Monday it was locked up with no posting/notice, Tuesday same thing and Wednesday when I asked it was closed due to a light needing to be replaced and not sure when will be open due to they are waiting on the part. I asked if it just happened and the girl advised me in Saturday. I asked why no one let us know when I directly emailed letting them know it was an issue for us if the pool was out of service and she obviously could have let us know by email or when I checked in. I guess the obvious reason would be due to the fact I would cancel or want a discount.
If you NEED to stay here not a bad place to just stay. However, if you are staying as part of a vacation its not a vacation kind of place. Service is horribly rude, park is a health issue waiting to happen, showers out of service, Wifi was a joke couldnt get it to stsy connected, and peace and quiet...
Read moreI checked the website months prior and knew that Santa would be there this weekend. The weather was perfect and the kids were in for a special treat. The last time we came it was TOO HOT for them to ride the rides and we did get there late, so this go round I vowed to get there early. The kids got the wristbands (The price WAS NOT 12.99 they were 14.60 she said that included tax but, I was taxed on the 14.60) it just wasn't worth it arguing about the prices, I knew how long I planned on staying and I was going to get my money's worth in the kids having fun. They had a blast!!!!! Truly the best adventure we had all year. My grandson is the grouch, his complaint was the virtual reality ride, I REFUSED to pay for that after being over charged for the wristbands I was NOT paying 7 dollars for them two (4 bucks single riders) of course tickets and wristbands aren't accepted on that ride. Outside of that, the baby girl loved ALL the rides except the polar express (the ship) because she was TOO short....lol. The only reason I didn't give this event 5 stars was due to pricing of the wristbands differ than amount posted and advertised online AND the bathrooms (the smell, cleaning and me dropping my jacket on the pee filled floor, the attendant was there, it was so crowded even this didn't bother me as much as pricing). ALL in ALL, A GREAT VISIT. The photo of Santa and the kids was the best part for ME. VERY HANDSOME N NICE SANTA, my granddaughter truly loved talking to him. She still has the spirit of Christmas, the photo was 5.00 (that was the sole reason why I went this weekend). Great VISIT. I applaud the parents for not losing any kids, being helpful to the smaller kids and just being...
Read moreSeptember 2025 Update: Traders Village in Grand Prairie was quite the adventure! Walking through, I loved seeing the mix of vendors—everything from used and new tools, to e-bike sellers, to folks reselling detergent. You really never know what you’re going to come across, and that’s part of the fun.
The food options are everywhere, and I enjoyed checking out the variety. Just know ahead of time that the prices are up there—I paid $10 for a small bowl of teriyaki chicken, which was a bit surprising. But honestly, you’re coming here more for the experience than the food. The energy of the crowd, the different things for sale, and the atmosphere make it worth the visit.
The rides and activities are really what elevate Traders Village. It reminded me a lot of the swap meet back home in Hawaii—lots of vendors, lots of variety, and just a good vibe all around. Another plus is the number of restrooms throughout the grounds. Each one I checked was well kept, which makes a big difference when you’re out exploring all day.
If you’re looking for a fun outing with plenty to see and do, this is a place you’ll want to experience at least once. You’ll come for the vendors but stay for the atmosphere!

This is an awesome place, the prices of the merchandise sold here are very affordable. The rides are also fun for the kids. I got my 6 year old an all day pass for $12 and it was worth it. He used it to go on sale many tired as many times as he wanted. Sometimes, when there was no line, he was able to just stay on the ride since he had an...
