A True Natural Oasis! Spring Valley Nature Reserve is an absolute gem, offering a much-needed escape into nature without a long drive. It’s the kind of place that instantly lowers your shoulders and quiets your mind from the moment you step onto the trails. The network of paths is wonderfully maintained and incredibly diverse. One moment you're walking on a soft dirt trail through a sun-dappled woodland, and the next you're on a bridge crossing a serene creek, listening to the chorus of birds and frogs. The views are consistently beautiful and change with the seasons, from fields of wildflowers in the summer to the rustic golds of autumn. What makes Spring Valley so special is its ability to make you feel completely removed from the suburban hustle that surrounds it. It is a peaceful, well-preserved sanctuary perfect for a solo hike, a family outing, or a morning jog. Highly recommended for anyone looking to reconnect with...
Read moreWe are a family of 4 (2 kids under 7) and have ventured out here about 5 or 6 times so far over the last two months and have enjoyed every visit. Through snow, ice, rain and all we've really enjoyed this nature preserve and are looking forward to more visits.
It doesn't take much for us to enjoy the outdoors - we take it all in when we can. But so far it's been great seeing this preserve not littered with trash (which is an unfortunate common occurance in many places).
By end of February our family had hiked through all the trails. Some are certainly more of a trek, mostly due to steep inclines. But there are some really pretty views through out.

Even if you are not up for a hike there's a place for you...
Read moreWe were trying to follow the 3 mile trail on All Trails but could not keep on the right track. Trails are good if you like narrow bushy buggy trails. Even trying to follow their marked trails was super confusing it was dry so no mud but I can see how that would get super muddy on a rainy day. I would call this trail more difficult to moderate. Lots of elevation changes. Not accessible. We watched a couple try to take a baby stroller….they caved and left after a few feet. I think it’s a good trail for those that like it a little more woodsy and have a good sense of...
