I want to give this place a shout out! My husband and I checked out Snapshots for the first time last night. First I will address our food (which we were both extremely pleased with) and then our COVID dining experience.
We started out with Luke's Sinful Snack which was a really delicious appetizer of potato chips smothered in cheddar cheese, really great house made ranch, bacon and scallions. I would definitely order it again, but it was almost more than two people could comfortably eat before a meal (while still being able to finish their entrees). I had the Shattuck Street Sammy and my husband had the Tuckers Up In The Club sandwich. Both of our sandwiches were delicious and generously proportioned, I also tried their fresh lemonade and it was delicious. Then best of all I tried their family recipe cheesecake and it was some of the best cheesecake I've ever tasted! It should be noted that while I love a good cheesecake, I am not easily impressed. My family has our own passed down recipe which we all prefer over all other cheesecake. But, the cake I had last night just might be better than our family recipe! I had mine with their fresh strawberry sauce and it was a perfect combination!
Now for my COVID dining review. We were looking for a local restaurant that would still let you dine in while also providing social distancing as well as a conscientious, clean environment. We were extremely satisfied and definitely plan to go back. Snapshots offers both indoor and outdoor seating. All the service staff wore masks appropriately and I overheard the hostess request that another patron please wear a mask if they had to walk around the restaurant, she also offered the person a mask (it was a very friendly exchange). I also witnessed some very efficient sanitizing. Their menus are all disposable, as is their plastic ware (individual plastic ware sets in enclosed bags). The tables were well spaced and while you were seated at your table you were not expected to wear your mask. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive! All this to say that at a time when the world feels really crazy this place was a...
Read moreI came to this location twice in two days-- it's that great. First of all, the atmosphere is warm. It is in a home with a bar in a few tables inside. Second, the staff was very friendly and both my experiences. And third, the food.
The first time I came, I got the build your own mac & cheese which was the special for the day. I added jalapeños, pulled pork, and roasted red peppers. When the waiter came with the food, I was delighted to see a large portion of the mac & cheese. And let me tell you - it was delicious. The creamy cheese sauce, spicy jalapeños, and the tenderness of the pork made for a great meal.
The second time I came, I went for the Spring fling sandwich. The bread it was delightfully crunchy, the cranberries weren't overwhelming, and the goat cheese added the perfect tang.
When visiting Granville, make sure you add this place on your...
Read moreThis place is great. We were visiting the area for a cabin getaway and felt pretty disappointed with the food scene until we found this place. They have some great sandwich options, interesting appetizers, and they use local ingredients (which we very much appreciate). We stopped by twice and the service was very inconsistent. First time everything was as expected. Second time and our app was delivered to the table next to us and we had to wait until their apps came out before we could get the one we ordered. This was one of a few things that went wrong with the service the second time. But honestly, I don't know which would be considered the service norm. The food was great and we'd go back again in...
