I unfortunetly cannot reccomend Scotts Landing Marina after my lattest kick in the pants from them. I am going on my third year leasing a slip and dry storage space at Scotts Landing Marina, and it seems to be getting worse and worse every year. Not only are the slip houses falling apart and continue to fall apart with each passing storm due to the marina not having a very effective breaker wall system, but the slip houses are old and spider infested. Annual rates continue to drastically increase year after year as the marina experience and amenities gets worse. I have a slip that had an electrical meter and power outlet installed from the day when I moved in until a week after I signed my third-year renewal and added an electric boat lift that I leased from Scotts Landing Marina.
The marina removed my slips electrical meter and power outlets from the slip without even giving me a courtesy heads up and leaving me to scramble on how to power up my newly installed boat lift at 10:30 pm on the 4th of July. I am hopeful that onsite marina management or Safe Harbor corporate management can figure this and other tenant concerns out as the marina is located in a good location and I honestly don't want to move to a different lake (Safe Harbor owns all marinas on Lake Grapevine) if I don't have to. Please do your research before signing a lease with Scotts Landing or any other Safe Harbor marina, so you know what you are getting yourself and...

Read moreI've had sailboats in Scott's Landing on and off for over 25 years. Lots of good memories there. It's a well run outfit with normal office hours and they answer the phone or return calls timely. The marina is a cove and is well protected from storms, but not completely immune. Slip fees are expensive, but the same as the other two local marinas. Docks are concrete and unpadded unless you add your own or the prior tenant did it for you. Plenty of electrical and water outlets to service the boats, and gasoline is sold in the marina at Big Daddy's Ships Store/restaurant. Big Daddy's is a very popular place for outdoor eating during the summer with a variety of food options and live entertainment on many summer weekends. It's not...
