First, I would like to start off saying the staff at Grapevine Vineyards Campground is very welcoming and helpful. That’s the main reason for the 2-star rating.

The park itself is beautiful. We chose to stay here because our son has important doctor appointments early in the upcoming week. Just so happened we were staying on Easter weekend. Big mistake! On Good Friday, We ended up parked next to a family that was drinking and had their music on until after 1 AM into Saturday morning. They also had visitors with multiple cars parked at their RV site, on the grass and all (which is also prohibited). I could not find the after hours phone number to report it and I also was concerned about retaliation. We also saw at least two dogs, on neighboring sites, running around with no leashes on, though supposedly this is prohibited per park rules. We have two young children and this had us on edge.

The next morning at 6 AM, that same family that was partying until after 1 AM, was awake, yet again, slamming doors, talking loudly. We got absolutely no sleep. Thankfully, they moved to another site around 12 PM Saturday, but the damage was already done.

I called the front office that Saturday morning to report a loose electrical pedestal (which was this way upon our arrival) and to inform them about the neighbors’ activity. The lady that answered the phone said I should have called the “after hours” number, which at the time, I was unable to locate. Must have been because I was already so flustered. She did mention that we could make “anonymous” reports/complaints. However, we weren’t offered any type of credit or anything to make up for the fact that our night was absolutely ruined.

The next morning, now Sunday, another family behind our site, was blowing under their RV before 7 AM. Blowing under your RV park before 7 AM, really??? Needless to say, we left Sunday morning irritable and exhausted. Definitely not worth the cost. We moved to another park, which is where we originally wanted to be, but they were booked due to the holiday weekend.

My question to staff, if quiet hours are from 10 PM- 7:30 AM and there is a strict rule regarding dogs off leashes, yet people don’t care to follow these rules, what is the point of the rules?

If you want peace, tranquility, and civility, this is not the park. If you’re ok with or prefer loud, inconsiderate, rowdy neighbors, loose dogs, and unsupervised children everywhere (and driving golf carts under age 16), then this...

We initially had issues making the reservation....host was not helpful on phone, ended up losing the site as host did not complete but directed us to wait 45 minutes to go back on......finally got reservation handled, arrived and had no power at site.....this time host very helpful...called for repair and did finally get us power...almost 2 hours after our arrival, we were lucky in that we had an onboard generator on our fifth wheel. Have stayed various times as we like the city and close to family, but sites are more expensive than most. The host that worked to repair the power made us feel as if they cared about campers so we paid the higher rate. Some good spots, some not at all, unfortunately they do not tell you on phone or notate on website how unlevel some of these are....some with no trees at all, grass burrs and if you are from TX you know what those are .... so terrible for your pets paws, very little grass at sites, mostly just dirt, although the sites are paved, sites are graded as premium, etc...suppose to have certain things to qualify them as such....that is not the case and sites do not always have the things they indicate go with the sites at higher rate.... we did find the hosts were friendly, and stayed various times, even having hosts stop and visit at camper.... we became the victim of being told by 3 different hosts that we could put up a dog run for a very small dog as long as dog not left in run...which we only use for her to potty and take the dog back in....this rule held true for a year and a half....now with new hosts, that is no longer true, and they will not allow the small pen...but do allow dogs on chains (makes no sense) as well as nothing is done to stop dogs running or loud music.... this is something that is key to us.....unfortunately, they do not tell people prior to making reservation they have changed. I had read some unfavorable reviews, but in our experience did not feel that to be the case until this last visit...unfortunately, have to admit we were not pleased with the campground, and would not have made reservation had we known they were changing what we were told we could do. Very disappointing that they would not honor what we were told and found that some of the unfavorable things we had read and heard were in fact true...looking for a new...

We stayed at The Vineyards Campground & Cabins in Grapevine, Texas from November 26 to December 23, 2023.

The staff at The Vineyards were exceptional, embodying a warm and welcoming demeanor throughout our stay. Their friendliness and eagerness to assist added to the overall positive experience. Whether it was answering questions or providing local recommendations, their hospitality made us feel at home.

We were in site 51, a spacious asphalt Deluxe Water-Front back-in site with full hook-ups, a covered patio equipped with a picnic table, a fire ring, and grassy areas all around us provided a perfect setting to relax and enjoy the views. The site offered ample space to comfortably park our truck and car side by side in front of our 5th wheel.

The amenities included free Wi-Fi, cable TV, clean restroom, shower, a coinless laundry facility, a camp store on-site, and a puppy point to let your pets run and play in the water.

The recreation amenities included the group pavilion, a group campfire area, a playground, the swim beach, and a variety of outdoor games. The campground's commitment to community engagement was evident through planned activities.

For those inclined towards outdoor activities include the fishing pier and cleaning station, availability of kayak rentals, stand up paddleboard rentals, bicycle rentals, and nature trails ensured there was something for everyone to enjoy.

One notable aspect of convenience was the park's policy of accepting packages from all carriers, making it convenient for guests to receive deliveries during their stay.

One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible wildlife we encountered. From playful turtles to energetic squirrels, and the graceful presence of ducks, cranes, and swans, every day felt like a nature adventure. The serene surroundings of The Vineyards provided a perfect habitat for these fascinating creatures.

Our time at The Vineyards Campground & Cabins was a serene escape into nature, coupled with excellent amenities and a staff dedicated to ensuring a memorable stay. Whether you're seeking relaxation, looking for outdoor fun in the waters, or to reconnect with nature and enjoy wildlife encounters, this campground offers a perfect blend for a...
