Re CAMPGROUND: This is a wonderfully maintained city campground. This campground is on the Missouri River. The city of Fort Pierre has put a lot of money into its parks. Campgrounds are really clean and beautiful. The Griffin site has electric at the sites but not water, though there is potable water available. On the upside for Griffin, there is a wonderful tornado shelter/rec room/bathroom with showers. The showers are warm enough. On the other side of the river, and also a Fort Pierre city park campground, is Fisher‘s Lily Park campground. The sites at Fisher Lily Park Campground are little larger, the view is a little nicer, and there’s water and electric at the sites. But the bathrooms are not as convenient and do not have showers. We stayed Fischer Lily Park campground, but went over to Griffin Park to shower. You really can’t go wrong with either campground. The Price during the season which starts 1 May is now $25. Sites are available first come first served basis. There is no gate, no host, and we never saw the campground patrolled, but we did feel safe. I added pictures of where the showers are (distal end of campground...

First timers- We drove from Snellville to play a Sunday Golf Now special. Was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the course. Charlie in the pro shop was super nice & the other players on the course were very friendly/helpful. Fairways & bunkers need a little work but not at all outright bad HOWEVER- the greens are the absolute best that we've played on all season & I'm talking about close to 15 different courses! Good value for your money & will visit again- just wish the City of Griffin would put a little extra money...

Appears to allows be clean when we arrive however, the vibe is blaa.... They offer clean public bathrooms with lots of spiders friends...lol I guess that is to be expected to do all the trees. Mostly just some daddy long legs. Skate park, tennis court, play area and only a few swings.

They removed the toddler play area for some reason which suck.

This park has lots of space for gatherings and parties. Plenty of parking space and room for games. It would be a perfect...

Overall, this park is a mixed bag. Some areas are totally run-down and rusted. There are decent areas, like the two new playgrounds, the pavilions, the tennis courts, and the golf course. I wouldn't trust some of the swings or the strangely isolated blue slide. The environment is quiet, and there are quite a few open spaces to just relax.
