This location is great for family barbeques and picnics. They have covered pavilions by reservation. Even if you are not able to reserve a pavilion there are many benches that have great tree coverage. Another great feature is the walking distance to water. It's very easy to find something for everyone to enjoy.

We go every year! It's become a great place to start a family tradition. The beach is amazing and the camp grounds are peace full, and when the sun sets you can see the dolphins in the bay. Plus you can visit the fort for free!

Even if you are not able to reserve a pavilion there are many benches that have great tree coverage. Another great feature is the walking distance to water. It's very easy to find something for everyone to enjoy.

Was informed the little openings along the bay are considered "beach" so dogs are not allowed there. STUPID I have little dogs with anxiety around other dogs, we keep them inside a portable fence enclosure but was told we had to leave because only place in Florida dogs are allowed is the disgusting, poop covered, fighting dogs beach... We've done this several times and never had an issue before. Will NEVER go to Ft...
