North Beach — Attraction in Gulfport

I love this beach!! Only $5 per vehicle at the main entrance.

Today is Tuesday 3/2/21 and this beach is not very crowded. The weather is also so beautiful! 75 degrees and partly cloudy with a gentle breeze.

The sand is soft and white and clean. Lots of shells and sand dollars too! The water is pretty clear and a nice shade of blue. I’ve been here several times and today the water is a bit chilly but after your body adjusts, it feels quite nice and refreshing. The waves are not too crazy either. A couple other times I have been here and the water wasn’t as far out as it is today, and I was able to walk a far distance into the ocean with the water below my knees.

There is a lot of parking available and just a few minutes walk to the water. There are large gazebos, restrooms, and areas to rinse off as well.

Great day at the beach with the summer weather in full effect. Nice and quiet at 10 am but parking quickly started filling in by 11 so getting there early on the weekend is required. Bathroom was ok and even caught some wild parrots passing through the park walking out to the beach. FYI you may have to cross a small river to get out to beach in the morning, make sure you are ready to get in the water with everything...

I love this beach despite the fees to come out here. I wished we had a local beach in Sarasota such as this. Plenty of parking space and multiple picnic tables and the water is really cool 2 swim in as well on a hot day.
