June, 2012 - The "resort marina" is just doing dry and wet slips while they rebuild their resort over the next year. This is what we found while shopping. It is across the street from subway and other stuff. Price is quite a bit cheaper ($187 for 20 ft) than Tierra Verde "High and Dry" quote next door ($213 for 20 ft); although the High and dry has a month off w/annual contract so that evens it out more. Resort marina has no T-top fee until the resort and amenities are back and it was $50. High and dry has $25 T-top fee. The resort marina is about 1/10th of a mile closer to the pass-a-grill point/channel, but is mostly a no wake zone to get there vs full speed with the high and dry. The high and dry has direct access to full speed channel, but the time you save driving from the high and dry is spent waiting for everyone's boat to be put in the water vs less people at the resort marina. The Resort Marina is fully protected from wake and wind chop. The boats in the high and dry bob up and down against the docks all day (and all night if you don't get back early) The Resort Marina has no chop to worry about, but also no gas, so bring gas cans for the gas station literally next door, or drive to the high and dry or pass-a-grill "warf". They both rinse your boat off, run fresh water through the engine, and have unlimted in-and-outs/up -and-downs. The high and dry has 50% discounted ethonal free gas that is quite a bit higher than Gulf Port Marina's prices. The pluses and minuses are one vs the other and even out. It's 2 miles from the high and dry to Point Brittany ski area, vs 3.5 miles. The high and dry is closer and faster than the resort marina to the skyway bridge for fishing. I would do a annual contract with the resort marina if they guarantee my prices won't change once the pool etc is done, that seems fair if I support them now. I'll update if I find...
Read moreGreat marina, the dockmaster mr skinner is super nice, they have fuel and its always really clean, i kept my 20 foot mako there for a year and now i keep my 23 mako here, this marina was much cheaper than the marina by the draw bridge and this is a protected harbor, this is the best marina in southern pinellas county. nothing has ever been stolen out of my boat and i leave it out all night docked there at a floating dock, they have great floating docks with bumpers and they sell frozen bait too, i wish i could give this place 6 stars because it worth it and every time theirs is a big storm i always think to myself im so glad my boats sitting in there building with all the hatches open and no water in the buildge, this is the only one of my bills that i dont mind paying because its so worth it,
my boats a 1984 so i really have to spend time...
Read moreI bought my boat at their Marina. When the boat needed maintenance. I had the boat lifted out so I could take it home and work on it. During the process the staff argued with me, belittled me and the caused damage to the hull of my boat.
It’s blood in and blood here. They Will mess your boat up. They take no responsibility and then make you feel like trash for it. Completely disrespectful and over priced.
Renters Beware and if you plan on purchasing a boat here from a previous client, they will not let you take it out without a fight and damaging your boat. Don’t take my word for it. Check the other reviews. They have damaged several other boaters boats with no responsibility taken.
There is adjacent boat storage and docking sites available with better customer service and they don’t cause damage to your...
