arrived at location, Tiffany at the Front Desk was very unfriendly. We made a booking for a 1 bedroom unit, NOT a handicap accessible room. We were NOT told that by Tiffany, that we are being given a handicap room. Should be honest to customers and let them if they were booked. Besides why would you give somebody a room if he or she is NOT handicapped.
At checking in, I asked for a luggage cart, was told by Tiffany : " because folks are checking in and they all are in use", well then tell the Guests, can you please return the cart back or send one of your engineers or staff to go and get them, so other Guests can carry their luggage to their room. We were goin to stay 3 nights, so we brought our own groceries. I had to go up the 4th floor up and down 4 times. I have back issues due to an accident and bad left knee.
Anyhow, not knowing what room we got, we arrived in room and then get to see a handicap room, we were shocked. Called downstairs and Tiffany said that they were booked. At least tell us what we are gonna get, due to .... whatever reason.
Then we noticed that TV doesn't work. She sends an engineer who comes in the room and opens the A/C compartment, really ? Poor Engineer, was informed wrong. We told engineer that TV doesn't work and he was able to fix the problem.
Now I ran the Kitchen sink and here we go, sink drain is leaking all over the floor. Called downstairs and Tiffany said, I will send an engineer.
After 3 strikes of problems had it, and I decided to check out. We drove 2 hrs to get to hotel location, used up gas back and forth for a horrible hotel stay experience. Our vacation was ruined, we drove back home, another two hours.
To the Owner : your staff is very rude. They were gossiping about our complaints as I was carrying our luggage and I overheard that as I was walking from the elevator to the customer service desk, cause all their eyes rolled down when they saw me. You also had a new trainee that afternoon, what kind of example are your existing staff to the new one then. I have been a Marriot customer for about 12 years, worst experience at your location.
Microwave glass plate had thick sauce stains on it, I had to wash and sanitize it myself. What happened to the " Covid-19 sanitize precautions" ?

Read moreFrom the minute I arrived, I was greeted by the friendliest front desk agent (Loretta). The view from my room (4th floor waterview) did not disappoint. I had a view of the ocean, the marina and the pool as well as the larger (and colder) pool at the marina.||The room was spacious. The kitchen was well equipped with a full sized fridge, microwave and stovetop. It included plates, bowls, glassware, coffee mugs, pots, silverware, sharp knives and a cutting board. Unfortunately, no frying pan. It also came with a diswasher as well as a small (adorable) salt and pepper shakers, dish liquid, dishwasher pods, dish cloth and towel as well as cofee/tea. I didn't use this enough as I had hoped, but just having the full size fridge made it worthwhile. ||The room itself was spacious and spotless. The bathroom had full sized shampoo, conditioner and body wash as well as a hairdryer. It was so nice to not have to pack any of this. ||There was lots of space in the closet (iron and ironing board) and two drawers for clothing. ||Breakfast each morning was perfection. Since I was there 5 night, I can tell you that the standards are:||Bread, bagels, pastries (with butter, jams/peanut butter/nutella and cream cheese)|Scrambled eggs and scrambled egg whites|Oatmeal (already made - in a large pot) with a large variety of add-ins|Yogurt - plain greek as well as flavoured regular.|Raspberry compote|Granola|breakfast potatoes|salsa, tortillas, cheese, etc.|cereal|fresh fruit (watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe, pineapple)|Tea/Coffee and Cold Brew - complete with flavour shots, cream, milk and oatmilk.||The breakfast meats changed. Often it was canadian back bacon, sausage but there was also a day of bacon and a day with biscuits and sausage and gravy.||The pool was warm and clean. Towels for the pool are easy to receive at the front desk.||Hotel restaurant - I did not eat here, but i did have a lovely drink.||No, the room is not "made up" each day, but they have no problems with providing extra towels, and garbage bags, etc. so it really isn't necessary.||Is it away from the hustle and bustle of St. Petersburg beach? Yes. There is not much around to walk to, so if you are looking to venture away from the hotel by foot, this may not be the place for you.||I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and I would not hesitate to...

I regret to inform you that my recent stay at the Tierra Verde Marriott was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my experience.
Firstly, I want to highlight the unprofessional behavior of a staff member named Destiny. I contacted the front desk regarding an issue with my internet connection, specifically asking if I was connected to the members' enhanced internet. Destiny responded with an unpleasant attitude, saying, "I can’t check that for you." This lack of assistance was frustrating, especially considering the importance of reliable internet during my stay.
On the second day, I requested a late checkout. Destiny was once again dismissive, immediately telling me, "No, we are full," without any effort to accommodate my request. Thankfully, when I asked to speak to the manager, they were kind enough to allow me to check out at 12 pm and even offered some points as compensation for the inconvenience. I truly appreciated the manager's professionalism, but the contrast with Destiny's attitude was stark and disappointing.
Unfortunately, the issues didn’t end there. After my husband realized he had forgotten his AirPods in the room, I called the hotel the following day, only to be told that nothing had been found. However, using the Apple tracking feature, I discovered that the AirPods were located approximately 5-7 miles away from the hotel—likely the home of a housekeeping staff member. This situation raises serious concerns about the integrity of the hotel's employees and the lack of action taken by the management when such issues arise.
This was by far the worst experience I've had at a Marriott property. The disregard for guest concerns and the apparent lack of security within the hotel are unacceptable. I strongly urge you to address these issues to ensure other guests do not face similar problems because no guest should feel safe...
