Is there more to this place than I realized? It is just a bunch of parking lots and some grass along the water (smaller area than the parking areas) with docks that you shouldn't even have access to because they are falling apart. The bushes along the water were very active with birds and we did have one Bald Eagle do a fly over down the river and past the swing bridge. Definitely a great view point for both the Goodspeed Opera House and the swing bridge.

Quiet sliver of riverfront alongside the Connecticut River in East Haddam. There is a small walking path and a couple docks you can go out onto. The docks could use a little upkeep. Overall, a very small state park but a nice place to take in the sights of the bridge and Goodspeed.

Calling this a state park is crazy. It's a field next to a railroad storage site. The only water access points are to a private dock and a ramp to a cruise boat. On the other side of the bridge there is water access and picnic tables, but it's a private marina. Very disappointing.

This place is a great for enjoying the river, haveing a lunch and even go bird watching. Also if you come at the right time they even have a ferry that goes up-and-down the river for a small fee. This really truly is just a great place to go and relax.

Beautiful and quiet spot. They were having a were having a wedding on the lawn and it looked like a gorgeous spot. Went on the adventurer for a private party and had a great time. The river was beautiful. The boat and crew were great!

Nice place to Hang out in good weather, Boat ride is must they take u on a rode for 1 hr for about $15, Saw some eagles and a Plane landing and taking flight in the River. No good restrooms and no place for Drinking water.

Description
Eagle Landing State Park is a public recreation area occupying 16 acres on the west bank of the Connecticut River in the town of Haddam, Connecticut. The state park has facilities for picnicking, fishing, bird watching and car-top boating. A private concessionnaire offers river excursions from a dock in the park.
