I had been a season ticket holder for over 20 years, until covid derailed everyone’s lives. Unbeknownst to me, I apparently had a credit on file from that period of time. I was just told in a mailer, which I received in the beginning of December 2022, that my credit was expiring at the end of this year. I was offered the option of getting tickets for the current show or applying it toward season tickets in 2023. I have been calling multiple times a day, every day, for the last two weeks and literally cannot get a person to pick up the phone and help me. I called accounting to try to find out what the balance was - transferred to box office number where nobody picks up. Called membership manager, no answer, left a message, no call back. Every time I call or get transferred to the general box office number a message states they are too busy to take my call, please call back. There is zero opportunity to leave a message. There is no way to reach out online (email or website) and get resolution either. I’m so disappointed that this is the way the Goodspeed chooses to deal with customers who have been supporting them for decades. I will take the current financial hit and no longer support this...

What a great little theater and show. It's very small. But that puts even the balcony seats close to the actors. Very close. For the ticket price it is a very good deal.

The band is very small, one of everything, so the music is a bit tinny. But the atmosphere is fun and informal. Like college football vs NFL. It's just more fun.

Acoustics are not so great. This theatre eat built before they figured that out. This isn't high-pressure winner-takes-all Broadway. This is rural Connecticut.

Did I say the theatre is small? When this was built, people were 5 feet tall. Because wow, the aisles are tight, there are poles sticking out that you have to climb over to get to your seat.

The WC is tiny; ok for men, but woefully undersized for women with sadly very long queue. The place is clean, well renovated, parking is free in nearby lot. Ushers are helpful, but it simply takes a long time to twist us all in. Airplanes board quicker.

The bar is gorgeous, service swift, and efficient. Intermission is too short, but even in the Majestic,...

GOODSPEED OPERA HOUSE: MUSIC MAN is a beloved show.Production had wonderful and well deserved reviews. We booked the Wed.pm show with dinner deal at Rustica. We had seats in row E on the side.My friend could not see during the first act because the person in front kept moving their head from side to side constantly! Fortunately during intermission she was able to switch to a better seat.Thank you, kind stranger!I would definately recommend the Gelston House over Rustica. Not only is it right next door,it was a better choice.Still love this theater, but if there is someone big or fidgety in front of you, chances are your view will be blocked. As a vintage theater, seating is not auditorium style, there is a small section on a tier in back, and balcony seating.Thankfully, there is an elevator, since the theater is on the second floor.Locale is beautiful, and since I live in Florida now, glad I got a chance to see this show on my recent visit.Keep on bringing the great shows Goodspeed! I do recommend the dinner& show combo!...

A gorgeous old building, located on beautifully kept grounds overlooking a picturesque section of the Connecticut river. The building has been restored to it's original furnishings, including the handsome bar area where you can get drink and enjoy it on the balcony overlooking the river. The bar serves drinks that have been crafted to reflect the times / themes / place of the marquee show, allowing you to enjoy the experience with all your senses. We saw the show Summerstock, apt in the fact that the area in which it was played is similar to the story itself. The singing and dancing was incredible, and the show starred award winning Broadway actors. We drove over an hour to the venue, and it was completely worth the drive. Highly recommended.

The Opera House is very easy to drive to from any direction. E. Haddam is a lovely Town. Parking is next door and you have to walk a bit from the parking lot to the building. Go at least 1 hour early to enjoy the scenery. Nice restaurant next door with huge deck outdoor seating. The Opra house is tiny. Has a cute gift shop and nice refreshments in the back with a nice back porch to sit & watch the river & swing bridge before the play. Have your drink, sit relax then be seated for the play. Winn Dixie was SOOOOO sweet! All of the cast members were fantastic. The set was beautiful. The best part of course was the DOG
