I visited today and many of the trails were too muddy to continue very far after the recent rain. That said, I really loved this park. In a short time I was able to make some awesome nature sightings (great blue heron, osprey, turtles, birds). If you continue all the past the pond and up the hill, you can cross the street to another park with a pond and even more nature sightings. This whole area is awesome. I'll definitely be back!

We hiked the south side of the park from the Hopkins Pond parking area, to King's Highway, and back around again. It's a cool little area with interesting plants, birds, and marshes/fields. The trail is well defined, flat, and with the exception of two areas dry. Be careful if you want to wander off the trail though. There. Is. Poison. Ivy. Everywhere.

Great park for walking or riding trails, or even a picnic, kid friendly (we took a 3 yo and 6 yo) as well on terms of terrain and scenery. We went for the dinosaur site however and that mini exhibit was not along any visible walking path. We did drive through a neighborhood after our walk to go see it and it was definitely worth a quick visit.

It's an average park with trails. The riverside is not well maintained and a bit dirty. Good for casual walk and roaming around or if you are interested in fishing, its a place for you. If you are taking your kids and stroller remember, maneuvering a stroller is very challenging as the trail roads are uneven.

Went fishing with my children amd my dad. My girls were able to catch a small Catfish and a Sunny. We all had a really nice time and the parking and fishing spot off of Hopkins rd. was well kept and clear of trash. A port- a -pot was there and also trash cans and a receptacle for used fishing line.

Bring bear bells to warn local teenagers who are making out on the upper trails that you're in the area. If you encounter a couple, talk firmly in a loud voice and slowly back away. Do not feed the teenagers.
