So this is my honest review - my family and I visited Lemos farm twice. The first visit (before pumpkin season), great! Decent weather (it started raining as we left), nice employees, nice bathrooms, nice flow of customers, overall just a good time. We spent a few hours and we were able to accomplish a lot if not all of the fun activities. The food options seemed very sub par, so we opted for a bag of chips and decided to eat at a nearby restaurant. My toddler enjoyed herself as this is definitely a farm with lots of entertainment for the littles. Now comes our second visit, during pumpkin season. It instantly felt like night and day from our last visit. So unfortunately very bad weather this time around, which is the not the farms fault, but everything just seemed so sad. The farm was very empty, no complaints here, but it almost felt like they were closing for the day (it was only 2pm). The chicken strips / deli counter was closed so we tried a slice of pizza and nachos and wow just awful. The pizza was overheated on the bottom resulting in a very dry and crunchy texture. It was basically cardboard in pizza form. The nachos were plain and bland. Not worth the buy. Also, our family has a severe nut allergy. When asking if the mini donuts had a nut allergy, we were answered with “is that going to determine if you’re going to want them” as if it was too troublesome to answer or they just wanted to be done with us. Typically when asking about an allergy that is something pretty important. We went on with the day, trying to make light of what is seeming like an already wasted trip. So we move on to the goats which was my toddlers favorite attraction last time. The goats got huge! Saw maybe 1-2 small goats that didn’t intimidate her. She was scared of them, so we walked out to feed them (+ $2 fee) which she likes to do and I overheard one of the employees in training saying that food is not given to them inside because they wait for the customers to buy food to feed them. I don’t know how to take that? Do they really have to wait all day to eat something if it’s a slow day. And then on top of that, a male employee comes up to us and yells “make sure she’s using flat hands!” as he can clearly see that an adult is holding her hand flat on top of his flat hand (we’ve already done this before and there are signs everywhere reminding us). He scares her, which ruined it for her and she was so uninterested in feeding them after that. Ok we give it one last chance, haunted maze. Boring. All the lights are on, no music, and it looks like decorations from a 90s bad horror film lol. Ok they tried, next. Pumpkin pie, very good. Then we let our toddler pick out a pumpkin, it’s orange with some green speckles, likely the reason it appealed her. We head to pay and we’re told “because it has some green color to it, I have to charge you an extra $3” …… uh what? This pumpkin is about 5 inches. Never heard of that in my life, still so shocked. I’m giving it 3 stars because our first visit / impression was good, but second was just bad. The farm lacks being consistently good. Maybe we visited on a bad day, I don’t know. We travel 2 hours to visit and unfortunately won’t be back due to our recent poor experience. If we lived closer, we might be willing to revisit as it seems like this might a “hit or...
Read moreI took my Grandaughter Jayden there this past Friday. Jayden has down syndrome and is 11 years old, and she wanted to go thru the haunted house. The guy asked me if I wanted scary or not, I asked what's the differential and how scary was scary. He tells me scary is with the lights off, noises, scary music etc and not scary is with the lights on and nothing else I said ok not scary keep the lights on. It was only my granddaughter and in our group and walking thru it at the time. So we enter and everything was fine until we get past the emergency exits and you come to the screen with a bunch of heads. The PEOPLE THAT WORK IN THE HUNTED HOUSE go and TURNED OFF THE LIGHTS, PLAY SOME SCARY MUSIC, LIGHTS FLICKERING, STARTS YELLING, SCREAMING AND BANGING ON THE WALLS OR ON SOMETHING and scare the living crap out of my granddaughter, she whispers she's scared and wants our and freezes, paranoid and freaked the hell out. I tell her come on bc I had seen an exits door but she's frozen and won't move so she was wearing long sleeve pink sweater with the white strips that glow bc of the blacklight so I then try to distract her telling her to look at her sweater she continues to be extremely frighten. Meanwhile I am filming this entire experience because her mom my daughter couldn't be there. Now this was recorded for like 1min 30seconds...I then realize nothing I'm doing is working and she's not moving so I stop video recoding to turn on the flashlight on my ph. Now I got the flashlight on and I'm YELLING YOU GUYS STOP, STOP, THIS TURN ON THE LIGHTS AND NOTHING THEY KEEP GOING SCARYING THE LIVING YOU KNOW WHAT OUT OF HER!!!! We finally make it out of there and I get out and tell the guy that let us in and that I told I want the lights on for her what the heck was that all about he looks at me like speechless w what apeared to me to be a half smirk or perhaps an OH SHIT kind of look, I don't know. But anyways.....please tell me when and where that was ok? I like to know. And I have it all on video even how freaked out she was after.
This experience was a complete horror and traumatized!!!! Absolutely 💯 unacceptable!!! I JUST CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS.
I have tried contacting you guys by phone and it's impossible to get anyone on the ph. I have emailed them what I posted on here on Saturday morning and as of today Wednesday afternoon I have gotten no reply. And I have all this on video. This is just sickening and makes me sad to know how you guys choose to handle is. I am only giving you one star because I have to.
PARENTS DON'T TAKE YOUT KIDS THERE, THE EXPERIENCE WAS TRAUMATIZING AND...
Read moreI’ve gone back and forth about writing a review and I decided to just make note of everything in bullet points instead of the long drawn out review. I don’t write reviews but this place irked me enough to do it.
We went on a Thursday which is a day of their operation. Paid roughly $53 for our family of 3 JUST for admission.
Here is all that was wrong with our first visit:
Had to flag down someone to let us pay additional $2.50 cup of goat feed after 15 minutes of standing at the feed area.
Had to flag down someone to let us ride the train once after stalking the attraction for about 10 minutes, making eye contact with whom I assume were workers. Then the man that did step up was perturbed that we wrangled him and made us sit in the first car without a say. My son wanted to ride in the blue train car which was the 3rd in tow I believe. I don’t know why that was a problem.
Decided to indulge in the farm food offers. Hot food/deli was not in operation that day. The other food kiosk did not have the advertised pumpkin ice cream or any other food options listed on their sign. They did have pumpkin spice donuts which we did get. I then proceeded to watch her pull the donuts out of a box and reheat them up on a conveyor belt. Ironic taking they had a sign in front that stated, “Hot, fresh donuts” which I will admit they were warm at least. $8.50ish for 6 I believe.
Balloon lady wrangled us over since we were one of two customers that morning. $5 for a balloon dog that only resembled one because she drew a dog face on it. She was sweet, but I mean balloon dogs are classic, how do you mess this up and charge $5?
Haunted house had no attendee, all the lights were on inside, which I don’t know if that’s normal or not taking that this was our first visit.
Pie booth was unoccupied, no pie to be sold.
Pumpkin booth to buy pumpkins was unoccupied. Not a soul to be seen.
Basically, they say they’re open Thursdays but from our visit I highly disagree. Not a soul could be seen anywhere at any attraction. Unlimited rides? Could barely get the one. No food or bakery items available as advertised heavily on Instagram and Facebook.
Extremely expensive and an absolute waste of money for what we encountered. Didn’t fulfill even a fraction of the ticket “benefits”.
ONLY plus from this place was that the ticket lady was very sweet and welcoming that day.
My two cents, visit this place on the weekend if you must because apparently that’s the only time they...
