Can't really beat free. Good inexpensive place to take your kids and see some cool plane models (small and life sized). We came the day after a torrential downpour so there was a lot of water outside to navigate around, as a previous reviewer noted. If you want a guided tour a sign at the front says to call ahead to register....not sure why as most of the staff I encountered didn't look too busy and barely greeted us. Oh well, 2/3 of my gang are probably too young to fully appreciate the tour anyways. There is plenty of information to keep you busy on your own however, from all the model planes, to the books, and the plaques filled with info, if you read everything you'll be here for hours. Playground outside was a nice touch for those with younger kids. Sign in and leave a donation in the box as you enter or before you leave...I'm sure it's hard to maintain something like this for...

Thank you, Hampton Air Power Park & Museum, for a beautiful Mother's day-out on the Historical Newmarket Creek Marsh...

We really enjoyed your wonderful historical air aviation relics of planes and rockets. Honoring all branches of services, Tuskegee airman, astronots, and space capsules.

We rated your historical park and museum 5-Stars because it's free to enter and free parking. The newly-renovated park enhances its natural marsh environment. 'Which compliments your new trail bridge Waterwalk, also the newly-built dock launching canoe & kayaking boat-sailing experience, as well ...

Thanks again, Air Power Park, we heard there's going to be a community Re-Grand opening ribbon cutting celebration on Saturday, May 25th, 2024, of funtime for the kiddos, food trucks, folks, family, furbabies...

This is not a review of the Air power park it's really cool but those reviews are already written. The kayak ramp is now completed so here are my thoughts. It looks great, synthetic planking for the deck and loading dock is very well done. Access to it is clean and easily accessible. It is still useable under the same time frame that the park is open so check for the hours of operation. No fishing signs are posted up on the ramp area. Come on Hampton city we can do better than that it's a chame when there are no free public access fishing areas in a coastal town. But that's just the opinion of one life long resident. Anyway it is one of the better looking kayak ramps I've seen in a long time. They installed it go use it. Tight...

Great museum to take kids and or just explore. Tons of amateur and professional models inside to look at. It is free to enter and walk around. The staff there are very friendly and help you in learning whatever you would like to know! There is a boardwalk out back with nice views accompanied by local wildlife and waterways. This place is never too busy. Although it is a small building and a small attraction compared to other museums, there will almost always be near to no wait to get in and look around. Attached are some photos of the boardwalk behind the park. I couldn't find any of the photos I took of the aircraft themself
