Can't really beat free. Good inexpensive place to take your kids and see some cool plane models (small and life sized). We came the day after a torrential downpour so there was a lot of water outside to navigate around, as a previous reviewer noted. If you want a guided tour a sign at the front says to call ahead to register....not sure why as most of the staff I encountered didn't look too busy and barely greeted us. Oh well, 2/3 of my gang are probably too young to fully appreciate the tour anyways. There is plenty of information to keep you busy on your own however, from all the model planes, to the books, and the plaques filled with info, if you read everything you'll be here for hours. It looks great, synthetic planking for the deck and loading dock is very well done. Access to it is clean and easily accessible. It is still useable under the same time frame that the park is open so check for the hours of operation. No fishing signs are posted up on the ramp area. Come on Hampton city we can do better than that it's a chame when there are no free public access fishing areas in a coastal town. But that's just the opinion of one life long resident. Anyway it is one of the better looking kayak ramps I've seen in a long time. They installed it go use it. Tight...
