Parking was the easiest here (I went during the day in the middle of the day). There was a lady set up in the trunk of her small suv listening to music doing drugs, there was trash everywhere (alcohol and fast food) , in the parking lot alone. I didn't really feel comfortable leaving my car alone lol.
Beach was nice but had alot of trash as well. I walked to the fishing pier but just to walk on the pier, not to fish or anything, you had to pay. I choose not to as I just wanted to enjoy the water and view, not spend unnecessary money.
Restaurant looked nice but very expensive for the food options (plus nothing for people with food allergies besides salad...). Pier would have been free if I had bought a $20 salad lol. It is $2 to walk if you don't want to waste money on overpriced salad you can make at home for $5.
It is really cool how you can buy a plaque for a loved one who passed who loved fishing for the pier. I enjoyed reading those while listening to the water. They also had benches to sit on.
This beach was more of a touristy or kids beach. It was nice to see while I...
Read moreWe came down to the beach for Memorial Day weekend but it was during a tropical storm. The beach was really nice. It the sand was super nice but there are a lot of broken shells and reeds (maybe, I don’t know what they are called). I was pretty annoyed though because we came to that beach specifically to take my dog who has never been to a beach. I looked all over for info if my dog was allowed and there is conflicting info all over google. We got there and seen a sign that said memorial weekend to Labor Day weekend dogs were only allowed anytime before 10am and I think it was anytime after 8pm. We ended up taking her out anyways because the beach was empty from the storm. We got away with walking as much as we wanted. On our way back toward the lifeguard station we were almost told but we were leaving anyways. It was a nice beach and I’m sure we will be back but they need to be better about having the correct information on...
Read moreOV is OV. Lol. Its the beach you visit in the summer when you don't want to be in the company of the larger crowds. I visit the beach anytime of year but was surprised to see as many people at the beach yesterday as I did (Warm Winter day) I've missed the ocean since moving. I needed this like I need oxygen. It wasn't far from Norfolk Premium Outlets, just a short 15 min drive. Ocean View is the chill beach, the quiet beach of the area and then you catch a drink and listen to music at one of the local bars like Mojo Bones and Froggies (if they're still around) for examples; however its not the tourist beach so I don't recommend being out here in the late late night. OV doesn't have the best reputation in some areas. Not much to do here. But if you just need an ocean fix, you'll be...
