I truly enjoyed the food here at Stony's! We started with the oyster Rockefeller, and to our surprise, it was a fried variation served with small toasted bread slices. Our party all seemed to enjoy it. I loved the unique take and have never seen any other place serve it this way. I personally had the scallop risotto, and let me tell you, it's one of the best risottos I've ever had. The scallops were cooked to perfection and paired well with the risotto. My side salad was fresh and served with good runny ranch (Iykyk). My kids had the mac and cheese and pizza. Both were really good, but my daughter wasn't the biggest fan of the mac as it was a little salty. Pizzas seem to be a good option, especially for the young ones. My significant other had the tuna and seemed to enjoy it. The plate was empty pretty fast. We finished off with key lime pie and the lemon berry cake. Both were good, but I preferred the key lime. The lemon cake could stand to be more lemony, but it's really good. I just squeezed my lime on it. Drink-wise, I had a mojito and the key lime crush. I loved the crush, but the mojito needed some work - it was all rum and soda water. The only complaint I have was how dirty the bathrooms are. It's not a pleasant place to have to use the restroom, especially with children. I informed our server, and she was extremely apologetic and said she would let someone know. Unfortunately, even after finishing up dinner and taking a walk around the entire marina, the bathroom was in the same state when stopping by before leaving. Overall, it was a good dining experience, and our server did...
Read moreI was excited about the menu because it read so well. I had the deconstructed oyster rockafella. liked the idea of crispy fried oysters with the fillings in a bowl. 10 nice oysters but found it unremarkable. tried the "jumbo lump crabcake app". did find a couple jumbo lumps in there. I liked the coleslaw better. tried the flounder BLT. it came out undressed, dry and no Bacon. I requested some sauce and it helped me erase my hunger a little bit. wouldn't order any of it again. NOW the big thing....the waiter Floyd or Lloyd or something like that forgot to return my card. I tracked him down and gave him the folio and he went into a area not for customers and came out and lied to me. told me it was under the receipt. the folio came out with only two of the usual 3 receipts. most restaurants have the breakdown by line item of what was ordered and then two duplicate CC receipts. one for the restaurant and one for the customer. the folio only came out with the two CC receipts. I thought it was odd when opening the folio and spread out the two receipts and pointed it out to the wife. 100% my credit card was NOT IN THERE. why he would lie about it is beyond and makes me wonder about the authenticity of the amount. too much headache, way too noisy, flys buzzing about and the restrooms appeared to be outside the restaurant and there was napkins and paper garbage just outside the restrooms and in the parking lot when we exited. website and menu read great but the execution was off enough that we won't return. wife barely...
Read moreAbsolutely disappointed!! Came to this location yesterday with my best friend, we did not have a good experience whatsoever. Upon arriving and being seated, it took about 10 minutes for anyone to ask us if we had been helped after having servers pass between us multiple times assisting everyone else. Even after our server bought our waters, he did not take our orders upon re-arrival or state he would be back take our order, but did that for everyone that was seated after us. How strange, I hate to bring race into play, but I could only assume it was our demographic especially based off the stares and upturned noses we got throughout walking to our table. After getting the appetizer, I started feeling funny, and after we asked the server what was in it, he told us nuts, and I told him I was allergic, he did nothing to show his concern as my tongue was starting to swell at that table. After a Benadryl, I was starting to feel better and our food was brought. Our server came to check on us once during that time frame. anytime he came over we made sure to use our manners saying thank you, the only time he used manners is when we gave him a tip. As a former server, I know how servers may act due to a demographic thinking we won’t tip, and he definitely showed off!! We didn’t even get a ‘have a nice day’. As someone who has worked in the food industry for three years as a server, I was absolutely disgusted. It was not worth the money and this is a place I would...
