I love the beauty of Hardwick trails but unfortunately I can't go there again. Twice in a row my dog has gotten into a fight by someone walking with an unleashed dog. Although it has a big sign that says please leash your dog people ignore it. It's difficult for your dog to defend itself when it is leashed so you end up just letting go. It's always the same thing. When people finally show up they say something like " I don't understand it, my dog likes other dogs " that's super cool you have a dog like, that but you need to know that some people own dogs that don't like other dogs and if your unsupervised dog comes near my dog there's going to be a fight. Lots of other trails to walk in to make it a longer time out. I will have to come back and explore the other trails. Be mindful of side trails but most just cut to the trail you are on.
