Galaxy Bookshop — Local services in Hardwick

I live in Vermont and needed to get a gift to my sister in Virginia. Ordered a book online for her from the Galaxy Bookshop. Ordered a bunch of other stuff online at the same time too, from seven other businesses.

Out of everything I ordered, the Galaxy present got there first, beating out all the other businesses despite it being the height of the COVID pandemic/Christmas rush season.

I'd also requested no price on the packing slip because it was a gift. They honored this request, and in addition, I just got this excited text from my sister: "the present is wrapped in blue snowflake paper. It's so pretty!"

Love this small book store right in the heart of Hardwick. Small amounts of every genre for everyone. A plus- they will order books for you which come in a timely manner. Neat little kids corner. Assortment of community activities go on in the store on a regular basis. Lots of gifts, games etc. A few chairs, a bench and bean bag chair to sit and read. Absolutely adore this bookstore. I put in orders and they always arrive quickly. They give me a phone call whenever it's ready to pick up and are always so kind. They usually have some good recommendations for books to check out too. They also have an adorable selection of stickers, tiny cards, and various other little bits. I can't overstate how happy I am to have found...
