I really struggled with how I wanted to rate this one because we had fun overall, but there were some parts that were fairly frustrating. My family did the combination escape room and axe throwing for my birthday. We did the Last Voyage of the Adventure Galley room, which has a really cool setup. The room can be setup as an adult room or a junior room, which is also cool, but we were not given critical information that chests with a 'WK' on them were only for the junior room and therefore irrelevant for the adult level. We were only told that every chest needed to be opened, so we spent easily half of our time trying to open chests that were not relevant. When we did try to request a hint, a couple of us waved our arms at the cameras and asked for a hint (as instructed), but we didn't receive a response for some time. When we did get a hint, it was for something we already found. To the credit of whoever was running the show, she stopped the clock for a few minutes to compensate. It was very apparent that they were super busy, but the escape room experience seemed pretty disorganized, and we weren't given necessary information. Fortunately, I got to take out my frustration throwing axes afterward, which was a fun experience. The guy monitoring the axe throwing was great. The business posts pictures from the escape room on their Facebook page, which is neat, but ours was never posted. My father and I both tried following up. I understand it was busy, but I'd rather schedule for another time and have a better overall experience. The people we interacted with were lovely, and the setups for the escape room and axe throwing are really cool. A lot of work clearly went into the background and build of each room. I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to going back if someone else wanted to, but I don't think I'd personally select this venue for an activity of my choosing. I'd definitely want to get an idea of how crammed their...

Was treated to an escape room adventure & some axe-throwing as a birthday gift. We arrived ahead of time as recommended. Sign-in was a breeze. The waiting area is very engaging and comfy.
The owners were pleasant, engaging, & supportive throughout our visit. We tackled an escape adventure designed for 6 or more, with only the two of us... And. Had. A. BLAST!!
We didn't 'beat the room' (and we WILL be back for a rematch...), but the clues & puzzles were fun treats. It kept us on our toes from beginning to end. I died from a curse for my birthday, and loved every minute!
After that, we got to enjoy some axe-throwing in another part of the building. We got a quick briefing on 'how-to' from the owner, and then started right in. It is tougher than it looks. After a few minutes, and intermittent guidance (stance, distancing, etc.) we started having more and more 'hits. This made the event fun to learn and very enjoyable. A very rewarding effort!
The amount of time alloted for each activity was perfect & appropriate. The activites were fun from end-to-end The owners are excellent and personable. Prices were great, which only added to the value of the entertainment.
Will be returning, and bringing others along...
Read moreI went yesterday with my sister and her husband. It was such a fantastic experience! Ax throwing was fun even though I'm terrible at it 🤣🤣🤣.
The escape room was such an immersive experience. You can tell Miss Sheryl went to great lengths to capture the history of the house we explored as well as creating challenging puzzles for her patrons to solve. I wish Massachusetts had something like this. Miss Sheryl also took time to talk to us about her obvious passion for her creations and we got a great tour of the place.
Go Now! You won't...
