Valley House — Restaurant in Harrison Township

Valley House located in the DORA district in Harrison was so so so good. On street parking and a free lot at the police station next door. We were greeted by friendly staff with options to sit at the bar, indoor and outdoor seating, heated when it's chilly. Filled with tvs, very well decorated and friendly staff, the food was really good as well. Children's tenders were juicy and delicious not at all like frozen dried up ones. Salad was amazing power my wife and the curds were excellent involving the homemade ranch. The great are almost like potato skins if you will. I had a Ladder 29 burger and while called a smash burger or wasn't, but I still smashed that patty burger. The restaurant was convenient to get to. When you walk in, you are greeted by a funky bar and smiling tender. The hostess took us to a high top table, which I’m not normally a fan of, but it was super comfy so no issues. The waitress was so fun and cheery! Brought our drinks out quickly. We got our apps, the meatballs and loaded fries. Oh my, we knew we were leaving happy! The meatballs were juicy and the marinara was tangy! The loaded fries had crispy bacon and the cheese perfectly melted! She even brought us extra ranch without being asked and we were grateful! Positives: Atmosphere was great and the place is clean. Plenty of alcohol options and the overall flow was nice. Wings were okay.

Opportunities: Food needs some seasoning. Blackened chicken was underwhelming, makes me wonder how everything else would be.

Pricing: For a neighborhood sports bar, there needs to be a kids menu to compete with other restaurants in the area. Some items we avoided as it does not justify the cost as some items were priced higher than the competition.
