Salvage World Furniture — Attraction in Hattiesburg

I went yesterday and bought a dresser. I actually stopped everything i was doing after seeing a fb post about them. I was in my ford edge so i couldnt take it home that day. It took probably about 20 minutes to sort through all the broken dressers to find ours. I filled out all the proper paperwork, they put my SOLD sticker on it and the mirror. Went to pick it up today, and they sold it out from under us. I assume they dont keep inventory or anything. Instead, they tried to offer us all the broken ones that we sorted through yesterday. I was quite upset since i cleared a spot in my room for it, moved furniture around so it would fit. Instead of trying to offer us another dresser at a discounted price, they just gave us our money back. Highly upset. They didnt even try and make it right for their mistake. Will never buy another thing from them unless i can pick up that same day. I wouldnt leave anything there to pick up later. Someone will remove your sticker and they will act like their not responsible for...

This place is hit or miss in every aspect. With that being said, there is always something to be had for a good price. You can pretty much trust all the furniture to be in good condition or new, the biggest thing I’d suggest is check anything you buy that has a motor, we bought a pressure washer from here and it ended up missing a few pieces. But they also took care of it and gave us all the pieces from another unit. If you’re planning on buying a lot from here though, bring help to load it. The people loading stuff do not seem to really know what they’re doing. They struggled to get our stuff on the ramp of our UHaul at first and then decided they’d try to throw everything in the UHaul. I delivered here with a 53 foot trailer load of chest freezers. They told me go to 6975 US 49 on the BOL, but turns out furniture deliveries go to the furniture store. Whoda thunkit? I didn't even know they had 2 locations in Hattiesburg. All I knew was that they had the location on US 49. Ya live ya learn. Nice folks all the way around. Very friendly and the crew unloading me got me empty before noon, and remember that's a floor load of freezer chests they had to unload and restack by hand in their warehouse....
