Bowden & Carr Furniture — Attraction in Havelock

Recommend not using Bowden & Carr! Ordered a recliner 8/15/20 ($2,449.91) with a delivery date of 11/1/20. RECIEVED IT 1/7/21 or 66-days late missing birthday and Christmas! We called when chair was 30-days late and spoke with Julie who was sharp, rude, and said "just come get your money", rather than answering the question of when would we see delivery. Chair was delivered in good shape and lives up to the Laz-Boy name. Delivery crew was helpful but could not take payment. I explained that I was leaving the country and not available to pay until next week. Crew took a note and said "not a problem sir"...Then my wife is called repeatedly and berated about payment, after I try to pay and explained that I would pay the following week when I returned. Bought this 1700.00 dollar chair from Bowden and Carr in Havelock was told that it was real leather a year ago. Obviously it was not! Company wont stand behind there product with NO support on fixing the problem. only choice is to take them to court and file a complaint at BB BUREAU and write this review. have 2 other REAL leather chairs in my home for 20 yrs with color that doesnt where off. MY ADVICE DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT CHEAP GARBAGE FOR...

I purchased a recliner for what I considered a premium price. First year the "wing" on the back broke. They replaced the entire section, polite, no questions, free, and in a reasonable time. 2 years later, the foot broke. Yes, they ordered and gave us the cheap plastic part that had no chance of being durable - which we had to figure out how to install....and the fabric on the arms has pulled out and frayed...same high price, made with...
