First time up Mauna Kea. Unbelievable vistas and views...Not to mention frigid cold and snow. Little oxygen at almost 14,000 ft. The best observatories in the world are there and tons of people and snowboarding. I had trouble breathing that high up. Take plenty of clothes. Stunning views though. Not good for smokers or people who need oxygen. The air is very thin. What is surprising is you're ice cold and in less than an hour you can swim in the beautiful blue waters of the South Pacific.
