I accidentally discovered this place while searching for a Geocache. It was Sunday afternoon, and as I drove down to the harbor, I was amazed to see all the cars lined up along the water. There were literally hundreds of people here! Mostly families sitting under shade tents, parents chilling and listening to music while small keiki played in the shallow water of the harbor which has a nice, sandy bottom. Older keiki were out further in the harbor jumping off concrete platforms. Kids were constantly up and down the ladders jumping and splashing! There is a massive rock breakwater barrier. On the ocean side is a cute little park area with a metal staircase built over the rocks to facilitate ocean entry. It was suitable for even small children to play. There was also an outdoor shower and a couple of picnic tables in a shady grove. Nice to see the entire community out...
